Going to NYC for four days next week for the first time. :ohno:

What should I do besides the obvious (Empire State Building, Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty, etc...)?

Any good places to ?

See Les Paul play at the Iridium.  He'll be dead soon and you'll regret missing him if you don't go.

wear your, "little apple" shirt.

i'm sure the nyc citizens will find it adorable.  :ksu:
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Pleasure. The lady and I had enough points on the AMEX to get free flights. Never been there, always wanted to go.

Open games? Friendly players?

Instead of taking off shirt, should I wear my E3 jersey?

NYC is trash.

 :curse:

Definitely look into this:

This site lists all sorts of things going on (more as the week gets closer), mainly aimed at the hipster crowd, but really it covers a lot of stuff:

Friendlies mostly.  Some get pretty serious.  I played against JFK Jr. before he went Berringer.  He acted like it was the Super Bowl.

Wearing your E3 jersey would be quite stellar.

Went to NYC, was kinda meh.

Went to Toronto a few days later, was

Clean, people are nice, all around awesome.  If I wanna go to a trashy city with a-holes, I'll just go to Boston.

Also, the normal sites are kinda meh imo.  Like, you've seen the statue of liberty and empire state building and all that crap on TV a million times.

I know, right? That's what I was thinking. The lady wanted to do the whole Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty deal where you get on the boat and tour around it. Meh.

We are gonna go on the Empire State Building, tho.  :ohno: :ohno:

Statue of Liberty is probably worth the ride out if you've not been there before, Ellis Island ... not so much.  Coolest part of the Empire State Building is the lobby, you might stand in line for quite a while to go up top which is a waste of time IMHO.  The museums in NY absolutely kill though, great stuff to see.

We already bought our tickets. Should that cut down the time in line? If we go early in the morning when they open (8:00 am), will we have to wait very long?
