Darren Sproles . . . San Diego Chargers Franchise Player . . . Jon Cornish . . played in the CFL for awhile.

LOL... you're crediting Snyder for Sprole's NFL success?  That's cute.  Basically, all you've pointed out is that Mangino took a kid from Canada and helped him become the Big 12's leading rusher.

You have to at least give Bill the same credit then for the undersized KS kid.....

Apparently you didn't see Tom Light and Phog.net's assessments of Sproles @ KSUFans.com.  Everyone called him a scat back until his senior year, but yeah he was totally a "sure thing."

The difference is that Snyder had several running backs at the top of Big 12 who also went onto the NFL.  Mangino had one running back who went to the CFL or something.  What Snyder has done is much more attractive.

No doubt that Snyder put Sproles in a position to succeed.  Same with Mangino and Cornish.  The fact that one guy is in the NFL and the other isn't doesn't have anything to do with coaching, though.

If I'm a recruit I'm going to go with the guy who will put me in the NFL, not the CFL.

    The very best.
sproles is a 5'3 shrimp that has no right being in the NFL. the fact that he's there is a testament to synd's coach em up abilities.

cornish is a "thoroughbred" a born RB. i could have put him in the 4th round, at least.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Kinda like saying one dude hitting another with an SUV has nothing to do with a dude dying. Must be this semantics thing I keep hearing about.    :Driving:

QFT.  (listen to fatty)

Look at NFL rosters.  Anyone can take a 6-0, 205 kid with a bit of talent and make them into a player.  To do it with someone 5-6, 180 is doing something.

List the other 5-6, 180 backs in the league.

Yeah the part where he tried to explain that Snyder averaging over 550 rushing attempts per year didn't matter was pure genius.

Since it's recruiting we are talking about . . . what sounds more impressive?

"We had a running back in our offense here a few years ago who is now the Franchise player for an NFL Team"

"We had a running back in our offense here that played for awhile in the CFL".

Even Thomas Clayton played in the NFL and he was riding the bench.

That would be great.  It was just easierfaster to do the last 5 years.  Maybe you can do your own research?

If you said this instead of looking like a retard for a couple posts, I might be inclined to believe you.

That's like, your opinion man.  One thing's for sure, you're pretty damn insecure about the Ron Prince era.

I'm insecure about idiots populating this board. You try too fracking hard to get noticed. Your fishing sucks. You make horrible arguments and defend them to the death. Your crybaby meltdowns are your only redeeming quality.

But it's a fantastic quality. Do you know how pissed off everyone is when they realize they've missed a BMW meltdown?
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

Congrats.

watching DeMarcu's video he looks like...

I was relaying the info that I had at the time, 'Pad's sock.  JK at the Slant hadn't heard anything at the time the rumor was posted, so I assumed the rumor was false.   Regardless, that's completely independent from the subject of arguments.

LOL at the guy who spends half his waking hours at another teams message board trying to gain acceptance, all the while telling others they have a complex.

How do we explain David Allen, Rock Cartwright, Josh Scobey, JJ Smith, etc.   Guess these are also examples of players that excelled despite their coaching.
