If Crawford "raped an underage girl," why was he only charged with misdemeanor assault?  Did someone put a gun to the DA's head and force him to let Crawford off the hook?  Are all judicial systems corrupt, or is it just when it involves a ku athlete?

again, we've been through this.  Crawford is just a victim of bad luck, wrong place-wrong time, type of stuff.

qft.  i know when I was in HS (and even in college) is was weird how often I was in the wrong place when a woman I was on top of was accidentaly saying "no".  usually I just held her arms back and finished and then got out of that wrong place as quickly as possible.

i know, it's weird right?  last night i was driving down Shawnee Mission Parkway and some offensive lineman (I think it was Branden Albert from the Chiefs), jumped right on top of the hood of my car.  i did what any normal person would do, shoved my SUV into reverse and drove away.

i really don't see what the big deal is.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Or, you could run into a piss drunk Brandon Albert at 20 years old in a parking lot late at night. You have words and he makes it clear he's gonna kick your arse. He comes at you, you get in your car and try to get the hell away from him and he jumps on your car while you are driving away. You panick and slam on your brakes especially because you don't want to drive around with him on your hood? Brandon is so drunk he fails to get an arm down and busts his head open. You being young and afraid you get the hell otta there.

Now, I have no idea what happened but anybody can play this game?

Why do you care? University of Kansas has ksuck fan  where they want them when they are 6 threads deep about a irresponsible incident between two "b" players. It's not like they are  turning police cars over and burning them or anything or busing out shop windows. Keep it going fellas but I'm telling you there is nothing to see here.

LOL . . . I bet there was at least 15 threads over the course of a year on phogtard and kusportstard about Thomas Clayton and his run in with the parking attendant.   Hell Clayton was suspended for a total of 2 full games for that little incident.

I bet Crawford . . . being the victim and all, doesn't miss any playing time.

20 year olds don't make the best decisions and if Lueken had possibly already been beating on you? Would you stick around to find out and let him get his hands on you again? He had no idea of extent of the injury and may have thought he only put Lueken over the edge.  I have NO idea how it went down but apparently you are profetic. I gotta agree with the Brewster here.  Hit and run is like a made up crime.  And being scared is a credible defense for such a crime.  I have always felt if your car can still be driven, you should be able to split before the cops show.  The fact that this big bullie was bleeding his brains out on the pavement shouldn't change the fact that splitting from the scene of a serious accident is a totally bogus crime in today's society.

You thought correctly.  I mean, I haven't gone and looked at the actual stats, but Crawford told everyone last summer he was going to rush for 2,000 yards.  I just took his word for it.  Seems like a trustworthy guy, amirite?

Huge issue for ku to have a Ron Dayne/Ricky Williams-eque running back being put-upon by "authorities" like this.

There is a ton of other stuff going on right now to talk about, so it is kinda shameful that this thread keeps going.  For example, it looks like GPC has an article on a kicker that has been on their front page for a week or so.  Also, we could talk about how Snyder doesn't release any info about spring practice.  That should last a while.

Ummmm...

Kansas running back Jocques Crawford is suspended from the team for repeated violations of team policy and might not return to the ku program, coach Mark Mangino said Saturday.

Mangino said he could not comment on whether Crawford's suspension was connected to an incident last weekend that sent ku lineman Ben Leuken to the hospital after a collision with a vehicle in a campus parking lot.

http://www.cjonline.com/sports/2009-04-11/kus_crawford_suspended
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

Wait a minute...this can't be right.  His Juco coach scolded KSU fans for calling him a raper and said he was the best guy on his team.  The KC Star ran about 4 feel good articles about Joc and how he was a victim of false accusations.  Mangino would have given him about 5 more chances if he didn't suck.
