Someone else on the situation:

blueblood8: "Just talked to a buddy and he heard the same thing only he has heard two versions, one involving Crawford and one not involving Crawford. He said in both instnaces though he has heard Lueken was hammered and acting like a maniac...not saying it was deserved by any means. Just relaying what he heard."

If true, this isn't something to be joking about.  Ben Leuken didn't deserve to get seriously hurt and Jocque Crawford doesn't deserve to get raked over the coals by a bunch of people who don't know what happened.  It sounds like Crawford (or someone else) was trying to leave the situation and Leuken jumped on the hood of his car.

Crawford entered the "wrong" zone when he left the scene.  Yes, it's indeed wrong to almost run over one of your teammates and then leave the scene of the accident.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I am just getting a good laugh at the Lawrence law enforcement follies, and all the covering up that will likely take place . . . can't wait until the ku grad Douglas County DA gets a hold of this . . . he's going to get yet another suite upgrade, and AFH seat upgrade out of this no doubt.

    ANGRY AS F*CK
Who is this Ben guy that got hurt?  An athlete?  Did they hose down the street or just let it dry up naturally?

Seriously, man.  None of us know the exact details.  How does this imply Crawford was in the wrong:

"Ben was in a rage and jumped on his hood, denting it all up, so Joc hit the brakes and Ben flew off."

Apparently the guy goes to the Hawk and gets hammered on a regular basis.  I'm not sure exactly what happened, but jumping on someone's hood in a rage doesn't sound like a smart thing to do.

You're right.  The drunk MF'er deserved it...

This is the point right here...where else after 3 and a half days would names not be released?  The way that the lawrence PD and DA handle these situations just baffles me...

This incident is said to have happened on a Sunday morning.  It's quite obvious that Crawford was on his way to church like really early, and Lueken was some kind of heathen trying to prevent Crawford from getting there.

Either that, or there was a 15 year old girl on the side of the road which also would have caused him to slam on his brakes.

I think it is the other way around. Crawford is the heathen running down the church going Ben, drunk off the Lord. In Lawrence they are celebrated as heroes, people like Crawford, doing the No God's work.

You mean the Leon Patton story, that was ultimately well documented, charges filed, and court cases heard??

Hell, it took lpd 8 months to investigate a bar fight that may or may not have involved ku athletes . . . big difference between that, and a domestic issue where it took some time to determine the long term health impact on the child involved.

LOL . . . that was funny.

Dude goes out and gets drunk? Of course he deserves to be ran over and left for dead.  Now, if we can just get Crawford to do the same to the other college students who like to go out and have too much to drink.

Yep.  Who would have ever though that bringing a rapist to campus would backfire like this?

Maybe if you take down that graphic from November it might sweeten the pot a bit.
