MANHATTAN -- Blair Irvin, who started seven games at cornerback for Kansas State last season, was arrested Saturday on charges of battery and criminal damage to property.
Irvin's arrest prompted a statement from K-State coach Bill Snyder, who said the would-be senior was no longer on the team at the time of the incident.
"Blair left our program several weeks ago," Snyder said. "However, I feel badly regarding any harm that was created in this situation."
Riley County Police Department spokesman kurt Moldrup said Irvin was arrested following a confrontation with a 19-year-old female at her Manhattan residence.
In addition to the battery charge, Irvin was charged with damaging a Hewlett Packard laptop valued at $1,200.
