Frank will take it if they offer but I highly doubt that happens.  They will go after bigger names then Frank Martin.  Also remember the scandal down there it would create a lot of press down there to hire Frank.

They are going to fire their coach because he made the NIT instead of the NCAA.  Highly doubt they decide to replace him with another coach who has only two years of exerience and is also playing in the NIT.   I like Frank but I think some over value his value on the open market.    He's not Bob Huggins in that regard and he just hasn't done enough to be a hot commidity yet.

Nationally if he even has a perception it is that he inherited Beasley and Walker from Huggins and did ok but not great with them.   This year's season was solid but it's not like people in the ACC are taking notice of a team that went 9-7 in the big 12.  Frankly they don't have much respect or concern for big 12 bball in the ACC.  The only thing that makes me think this is at all possible is the fact the Hocutt is the AD and he probably has been paying attention to what Martin has done at KSU.  Your typically Miami AD probably couldn't name the bball coach at KSU.

jfc.  we can't have anything nice.  ever.

If Frank leaves it's because our dumbf^ck administration retired that bitch's jersey and not Mikes

Time to offer the $$$$$, I would be depressed if Frank left.  Being a KSU fan would be utterly worthless at that point.

how is that different than now?

obviously no one on this board. Thanks for the suicide thought. You know hadn't though about that before. Damn health experts and kstate fans on the same message board. It's like a Walmart online.

Frank Martin is just more than Frank.

The assumption is that Dalonte brings his talent with Frank whereever Frank sets up shop.

That's the investment= why we hired Frank in the first place, remember?

Beacuse we got to keep Walker and Beasley kept his commitment. Here we are two years later.

I think Miami would do whatever they could to get Frank and Dalonte, personally. Miami knows this. They are just like West Virginia. They know that if they make a move, its to their benefit.

You're such a jackass.  You think people here really don't understand the importance of Dalonte?

STFU.  I hope underwood gets fired.

anyway
to answer your question. No, I don't believe that people here don't understand that. Just Legore....(see his first post on this page)

In the above mentioned, someone said that Miami wouldn't hire Frank because he only got us to the NIT..and "why would Miami fire a coach that got them the NIT and replace him with a coach that only made the NIT at Kstate".

Did I accomplish that?

No, your previous post was rambling gibberish.  Also, you don't seem to be up to speed with the Miami coaching situation.  Do your homework BOOKcat.

You're discounting the 3 for 2 deal.  We get a head coach, an assistant coach, and on AD for Frank and Te'.  That's a great deal there, let alone the upgrade.

when you respond to a single poster, and not thread consensus, you need to quote the poster.

otherwise it comes off as a random, retarded non sequitur.

If you guys want to turn this thread into a Bookcat bashfest, I'm certainly not going to stop you.  Honestly, I don't know why anyone argues with an opposing fan when there are KSU asswipes like Bookcat around.

At first I was gonna say something about how you can't get a tan at NIGHT. But, then I remembered that us latinos (Frank, mj, myself, etc.) tan very easily...even by moonlight.

    The very best.
not good. cane fans catching on.

Quote
This is a perfect example of why UM basketball fans are the worst - manufacturing controversy where none exists.

That said, if Frank Haith were to leave, the first man the UM powers-that-be should target is former Miami Senior High School and current Kansas State head coach Frank Martin, a Miami native and FIU grad. Martin's record at Miami Senior - one of the perennial powers in Florida - includes 5 state titles (2 as head coach) in 8 years as an assistant to the legendary Shaky Rodriquez, and 7 as head coach. He sent 14 players from Miami Sr. on to D-1, including current NBA players Udonis Haslem and Steve Blake. Bob Huggins hired him at Cincinatti and then took him with him to Kansas State, where Martin recruited two players drafted by the NBA last year - Michael Beasley and Bill Walker. Frank Martin is an outstanding coach, an outstanding recruiter, and would do what Randy Shannon is in the process of doing right now - keeping all the outstanding local talent at home.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
