if synder truly cared about ksu football, he would have done everything in his power to get patterson here. unfortunately, he's a selfish arrogant bastard that's convinced only he can win here. he hated his life and wanted to coach again, despite the fact it will hurt ksu football.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

You know the worst part of this whole thing:  This amazing, emotional event is now completely worthless.

I don't see how Fitz still has a job after what happened this offseason with Patterson. If Bill can't do another turnaround and KSU either tanks further or at least stays not-quite-mediocre, he may have sabotaged the fate of KSU football for another 5-10 years, possibly longer. Are powertards really that dense?

I really have no idea why Fitz has not been steamrolled.  I mean do we even have a freaking journalism school?  Is there even a freaking student paper?  I would be doing weekly hatchet jobs on that loser.  What a p.o.s. student body we have.

I can tell you with a high degree of certainty that Patterson was never a done deal - or even close.  To say that Patterson wanted the job is so far from the truth that it is rediculous.  He was giving it real consideration - but was torn (actually leaning toward staying at tcu)...wanted/needed more time to consider.  Wefald said F-U, and BEGGED Snyder to come back as it was the best (read "only") option.

Truth.

Probably not.  Crow doesn't go very well with a big, steaming bowl of "i told you so" stew, which is my fav. dish.

DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING DING!!!

WE HAVE A WINNER!!! We aren't BIG-TIME at all (no, neither is uk despite thier "success") and we act accordingly. In the Big 12 only a select few teams can actually be looked at as legit sport programs NU, OU and UT... there are some fringe teams - but the State of KS doesn't even have one of those.

Hopefully Weefer's successor can/will point us in a better direction - hopefully.

IMO, the only reason that Fitz is even employed is because he has appeased the "Tell me what I want to hear" crowd of 'tards and they are the one's who are buying into his line of BS. These are the same A-Holes who sat on their asses in the good seats at the Bram when Huggie was here, the same one's who sit on their asses at BSFS and yell at me for standing the entire game... GAWD I hate those motherFITZers!!!

OK, my semi-monthly rant is over... I thank you for your time.  :-X

You really shouldn't stand in front of people who need to sit during the game.  It's mean.

LOL, we laugh because it's funny and we laugh because it's true. Do you know that when Terrance Newman returned that extra point during the USC game - I was asked to sit down after he took it to the house! I was drunk and going crazy and I turned around and pointed at everyone and said, "Why dont you all STAND UP?" I wanted to punch all of them in their collective baby-makers.

My take:  Krause had Patterson on the line and was trying like hell to reel him in, MisFITZERmation helped put another 100 yards of line out . . . meanwhile "The Owner" was talking to OB the whole time and pretty much installed OB as coach when the time came.

As long as we're all making uninformed guesses, I'll sign onto this one as fitting in best with the AD's history.

Fitz is still employed because he reported what he was told at the time. Your jelly neck AD, Kraus, couldn't control his pants when he thought (with help from GP's agent) he had GP in the bag, blew his wad, and let Fitz make the splash. Otherwise your AD office would have made sure Fitz was sac'd. My guess is both parties agreed to zip their cock motels and let the gaff fade away.

I think GP was ready to take the job but just wanted to wait until the season was over. When the story leaked the day after the UTAH game (devastating) GP twisted off like he was in the grill of one of his OLs after a drive killing holding call.

He is still a surrogate for the school. He hasn't been "cut off". Why is that? Pretty simple.
