Why we'll get in.....

if/when we win tonight, and assuming that we don't lose to CU at home:

1. we'll finish 10-6 in the conference
2. we'll be the #4 seed
3. we'll own wins over our main competition (Texas, Oklahoma State and Texas A&M) for getting into the tournament.....ALL ON THE ROAD
4. If we win we'll be 4-4 vs. the RPI Top 50 while Texas is 6-5, Oklahoma State is only 3-8 and A&M is 4-5. So.....Shouldn't we definitely get in over OSU and A&M and then take the head to head vs. Texas?

supposedly there are 4 bubble teams in the big 12: UT, A&M, OSU, KSU

if we win the next 2, we will have beat the other 3 on the road and finished above the other 3 in the big 12 standings

if we win the next 2 and don't make the tournament we will be the worst gypped team in ncaa history right above the 2007 ksu wildcats

This is one of the most common misconceptions among fans and one that drives me nuts.  The committee isn't going to set us aside with those 3 teams and pick so many from the Big 12.  They will set us aside with those 3 teams and about 20 others and decide.  So could our head to head win come into play a bit?  Yeah.  But it won't be the end all of our selection compared to those guys.  It will be us and them compared to Ohio State, Michigan, South Carolina, Temple, Miami FL, Rhode Island, Arizona, etc.
