...the Cats will have our third 20 win season in a row.

This has happened exactly 2 other times (79-80 thru 81-82 and 74-75 thru 76-77) in K-State hoops history, both under Hartman.

Neither Winter nor Gardner accomplished this.

Frank (with an assist from Huggs) about to join pretty elite Katz Kompany.

It was until I heard people say that tonight's winner, although on life support, is still alive

he means last year.  one 11 seed out of 3 20 win seasons.

    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
Nebraska has no chance for the NCAA's. They should just forfeit and save us the trouble.

Winter and Gardner, actually hartman didnt benifit from playing over 30 games a y ear either.  I still love to get 20 wins but it isn't the accomplishment it once was, kind of like making it to a bowl game in football.

not impressed.  take a look at our OOC scheduling the past 3 years and things get put into perspective.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

But back in Hartman's day weren't they playing fewer games?

How are we playing like crap for a THIRD game in a row? Good God, make some &@#%ing shots. If I hear "they wanted it more than we did" again after a loss, I think Frank needs to start throwing chairs. Un-&@#%ing-believable

    The "other" KSU
So we are now tied for 6th in conf along with UT and OSU, does this rekindle the NCAA talk anymore? I can see a scenario where (if we beat OSU) we could get in.

Oh, BTW - how big is this next game... hell the last two games! MAN, I am pretty jacked right about now!

We have the easiest path to the 4 seed.  It would take either a loss to CU or an OSU or TX upset of OU or ku for us to fall to the 5/6 spot.  And, of course, if we win the next two we are the 4.  If the odds play out we will lose at OSU and beat CU while OSU loses to OU and Texas loses to ku.  We will then be the four seed but in a four way tie at 9-7 with the south schools.

If we can pull off a win in Stillwater our season is salvaged imho.

even with a loss...we're looking at 9 conference wins in a year when alot of us didn't think we would win 7.

20 wins 3 years in a row is still impressive...even against our weak ooc.

The thing that isn't as impressive is just getting into the NCAA tournament the last 25 years.  KSU is a lot more impressive in the fact that most of their tourney appearrances became before the field was expanded to 64 roughly 25 years ago.

Well, not sure if it's impressive with all the early appearrances, or sad with the lack of appearrances since the field was expanded.

The latter, sad.
