Credit to Buchi as well. He made some shots when nobody else could. His three at the end of the first half was huge.

wonder how many of Brackins first half points came with Colon or Anderson guarding him

I never thought I'd say this in a million years but.....I would let the White Tiger violate me any way he wanted.

I would have to say all but maybe 2 or 4 of his first half points were a result of someone other then white tiger's defense.

yea brackins went like 4-4 in that one stretch with colon on him. God Bless Louis, but he shouldn't have been out there much today.

I was more WTF at Frank not having DK on him all game after he shut him down in Manhattan.  waited too long to put him on Brackins IMO.  wouldn't have been a nail biter.

In the first half, I was WTF'g also at FM about putting Colon on CBrackens. I wonder if the strategy was to het DK to the 2nd half w/o foul trouble. That's the only reasoning I can come up with.

Another win on the road baby,  :dancin:

offensively he wasn't doing well, but that was the whole &@#%ing team.

Clearly his defense in the second half on a lights out Brackins was key to our win.

though had we been able to even buy a bucket in the first half it may not have mattered much.  but nothing would go in for us.
still, you're right, colon shoulda never been on him.

if you could guarantee me that ckell next year would play like wtige over his last 7 games, i'd take that bracket and run.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

I remember you whining like this in the first ISU game.  If it weren't for DK's defense on Brackins KSU could have easily lost both of these games.

Dear Darren:

I posted several rants about your poor play.  I still think you deserved my vitriol, but it is only fair that I now add my name to the list of those giving you credit.
You have shown tremendous heart, and I applaud your EMAW sprit.

Thank you for being a Wildcat.

Totally agree. Kent scares the hell out of me every time he touches it, but more often than not this year he has exceeded my expectations. He just needs to eliminate the 4 WTF plays he does on offense every game.

DK's problems arise from the TOs on offense, and if he fouls too much.  If he can limit these things he is a very effective player for us.

how can anyone complain about kent when colon is the other starting big man?  kent has exceeded everyone's expectations of him this year.

Kent sorta started the game out thinking he was Beasley or something.  I was sorta lol'ing at his new found confidence.  Did he think he was hot in warmups   :dunno:

I'd rather have Kent back next year than colon.  He went from being a very crappy center that only sees time when we are up big or in foul trouble to being a halfway decent player that has delivered for us on several occasions this year.

I'm sure this has been a topic before, but is it just me or does Colon have the tiniest shoulder muscles of any bball player (big man) you've ever seen? I mean damn, Brock Landers has bigger traps' and that dude can shoot some ball...

The bloom's beginning to come off the SLTH. Comments seen awfully familar to those here starting the third year of the Wooly era.

I'm tired of lackadaisical play. I'm tired of losing close ones. I'm tired of seeing guys, who obviously know how to score, stand around on the perimeter like they don't know what to do. And I'm really ******* tired of losing. This was a winnable game. We've had a ton of winnable games that we've lost. We've had very few that we've won.

And of course those advocating more LT in SLTH:

we cannot let GMac go that would hurt us far more than it would benefit us. I think with a little maturity to our team his system will prove to be effective....

Remember when he was at UNI he always had an older, more mature team

Darren Kent, Buchi Awaji, Fred Brown, & Jamar Samuels.

Who would of thunk it? But those guys are the reason we won in Ames...

I get tired of people saying what Mac did at UNI.... This is the BIG 12. The bottom line is that Mac has had 3 years to recruit. Where is the guards that we need. Where is the athletic talent... Never seen some many slow, can't jump, can't shoot, can't get their own shots. So, so many limited players. How long has the KS coach been there. He had a whole bench of athletes. Poor recruiting equals no wins. Mac has recruited like he was still at UNI
