Yes, that Ron Powlus.  The one who started all four years thus accumulating more yards and TD's than any other Notre Dame quarterback and finishing off his career with a sterling 7-6 record as a senior.

All that experience gave him  a big head start in the NFL as well.

Wait...he had a subpar year as a senior under a new coach?  Hmmm....

Also, would giving him the Alex Gordon "don't rush him" treatment have allowed him to meet the ridiculous expectations placed on him?

Freeman may have a new coach when he is a senior as well.

I don't want him to sit just for the sake of "not rushing him."  I just want him to win the position with a superior performance.  He certainly hasn't done that in the games, and according to J-Mart he hasn't done it in practice either.

He was 3 points worse than Dylan...but 100 yards better.

He was 5 incompletions and 3 picks behind Meier.

I also think that rushing a player that is not ready can have bad effects in the future.  If you put Freeman in positions he is not ready for this year then his thoughts next year or after that are going to be more like "Oh crap, here we go again" rather than "I've waited to damn long for this moment."

See David Clyde.

the risk/reward with freeman makes more sense due to how our defense is playing well enough to still keep us in the game.
at least i think that makes sense.

Our defense will be so frustrated/tired/injured by the ku game if we keep Freeman in the rest of the way that they will roll over and die.

i think the same would happen with dylan, but i believe we will score more points with freeman no matter how many mistakes he makes.

Can't score anything when you throw it to the other team.

KK,

Are you thinking you'd like a do-over on this thread?!

By the way, thank the fair-weathered who sold me the rest of their season tickets.  I would have paid $60 just to see last Saturday's game!

Tigers win.  K-State wins.  ku loses.

Great weekend.  GREAT weekend.

I drank champagne to excess two nights.

I do kind of feel like a retard for not going to the K-State game and watching the Tigers game while listening to K-State on the radio though.  Can I still post here after admitting that?

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I know, but think about it.  K-state has some serious mojo when I stay home and wish I was there.

A quick recap:

2000 NU
2000 OU
2003 OU
2003 NU
2004 MU

Away/Bowl games I've been to:
1996 Rice W
1996 MU W
1996 ku W
1996 BYU L
1997 OU W
1998 CU W
1998 MU W
1998 ku W
1998 A&M L
1999 UT W
2000 Iowa W
2000 ku W
2000 Tenn W
2002 CU L
2002 ku W
2003 Cal W
2004 ku L
2006 ku ?
13-4 Overall

Perhaps I am not going to enough road games and going to too many home games?

BTW:  the A&M loss should count for 100,000 losses and the Big XII Title for 50,000 wins.

Damn. That's impressive. We used to win at places like Texas as if it was nothing.  :crybaby:

Granted, we were down at half.  We had NFL talent then.  Darren Howard.  Simenau.  Fatafehi.  Beisel wasn't even a superstar here and he's still in the league for chrissakes!  Jeremetrius Butler LEFT EARLY and it confused everyone!

Imagine the things above happening now.   :crybaby:
