    I may be full of sh*t, but i won't be de-turd.
Also heard (may or not have been from George Brett) he had some holes in his swing that would show itself in the Majors. But how do you tell someone who has been so good at everything to this point, to change it. Skipping AAA was a major mistake.

On the way up, most kids skip AAA.  Most of the kids that hit AAA first are going to be career minor league guys.

I guess i should have clarified. Only having Gordon in the minors one year was the mistake not necessarily AAA. Also any guy with talent like Gordon would not have been a career minor league guy if he went to AAA, I'm sorry.

I didn't say playing in AAA makes you a career minor leaguer, I said that the kind of guys that play AAA before reaching the majors tend to be career minor league type guys.  If a highly thought of player is playing well at AA, they will almost always move him straight the show.

Since this is going nowhere, agree to disagree. Bottom line for me, If Gordon played more than one year in the Minors, he would have been better off. But that's just my .02$.

Interesting story in the Star today about how to fix the Royals:

1. Trade Callaspo
2. Challenge Guillen (or just get rid of him would be my suggestion)
3. Walk away from Jacobs, Buck and Olivo
4. Re-sign Coco Crisp
5. Hope for Gordon
6. Sign a defense-first free agent (Adrian Beltre, Melvin Mora, Pedro Feliz, Chone Figgins, Endy Chavez or Ryan Church)

Ready.....Go.....

Why trade Callaspo? He's a solid utility guy.
Take Guillen out back and shoot him. Of course that could be difficult to do, he'd probably injure himself walking out back.
Coco might miss a chunk of next season with his injury. He had a second surgery a couple months ago on his other shoulder.
We should drop all three and have Bryan Pena be our catcher and sign a cheap back up. That said, all three will be back.
Endy Chavez will fix the Royals? Srsly?

I'd get rid of Buck and keep Olivio and Pena at catcher. Jacobs and Guillen need to GTFO. Hillman need to go as well, and will probably be gone after next season.

I went to Sunday's game at the Pinball Machine.  UGH.  What a brutal Wal-Mart team.  I think they hit into 6 double plays.

The Stadium could be nice if they get rid of at least half of the advertisements and fire all of the old/slow concession workers, and drop beer prices about $2.  I really like what they've done for fans in outfield, but watching the game from behind home plate is incredibly difficult with all the Vegas crap going on all around the stadium.  The crown sign is freaking awesome and the out of town scoreboard is nice, if they would get rid of the ads.

I haven't been to any other stadiums built since 2000, but I guess I could be a little spoiled by Coors since it is the oldest "new" park in the National League.  It still has a relatively classic atmosphere.  KC fans know way more about baseball than Denver fans, though.

Now please sell the team to an owner who cares.   :royals:

Also, Greinke took a line drive to his pitching arm, above the elbow. Came out to pitch the next inning though. Went only 5 innings. Hopefully he will be fine.

How many wins would Greinke have if he played for the Yankees? I'd say atleast 22.

It's okay.  I don't think even the Royals could have tanked it hard enough to catch (?) the Nats or the Pirates.  Good news is that maybe they can just wait another year and draft Harper after he plays a year of Indy ball because the Nats can't sign him.  Speaking of which, I didn't realize that Crow was from Topeka until a couple days ago.

The Royals seem to have April and September down. Now if we can just do something about May, June, July and August we'd be on to something.

Greinke throws 6 shutout innings....2 hits, 5 Ks, 3 BB. Wins his 15th of the year. Can we give him the damn Cy Young already???

Edit: Against the Red Sox too!!! OOOOOooooo

Most likely C.C and Felix, but that's just guessing.

Trade Sorie? I think yes. If you aren't going to use him in save situations then why do you have a player of that value on your roster? Just another example of how clueless this organization is.

I agree...get as much out of him as you can. Prally shoulda done it during the year when someone desperately needed a closer. Also, Soria pitched two innings yesterday fwiw.

Yeah I have some thoughts.

Major underachievers. Bullpen needs an overhaul during the offseason. DM needs to get to work this offseason to fill holes and get rid of the cancers on this team... (i.e. jose guillen)
