who is going to challenge ku?

umass?  :dunno:

the 05-06 team started 3-4 and lost to arkansas who wasn't as good as UMASS...yet they still shared the conference title.

This team is already better than the 05-06 team as far as running the offense and team defense goes.

He's out 4 weeks...2 weeks until he can start practicing with limited contact.   :ku:

Plus, even without Little ku will win the north and possibly the league title again.  Good luck though to all you mildcats.  I really am impressed with Kent and Colon.

my bad about misinterpreting the length of him being out bro.  just knew i heard a month and the masta seff likes his guys to go 2 weeks after being cleared to practice.  and i know you don't really believe that winning the league title crap.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

those quotes were all made within the last 3 weeks.

I think you guys need to pay better attention.  This ku team is loaded with talent and is going to challenge for a conference title.  You can deny it if you want but i'm not sure what good it will do other than to make you feel better for a while until you are proven wrong.

OU and Texas laugh at the thought of ku actually challenging them this year. So do I .

well, since ou and texas only play ku once and they play each other twice I think the 'challenge' is that even if ku loses to both of them they could win the league.

I know about both titles well.  We've won them more often than not.  What would a suck fan know about it?  nothing.

Here's the deal IMO.  ku fans like to look back on 06 and 03 and think that this team is going to do the same.  That may very well be, but IMO this team a) isn't as talented, b) doesn't have the leadership and c) those teams didn't lose to anyone as dreadful as UMass in their early season struggles.  I think this team will be much more like the 99 team that also lost to a bad UMass team in the OOC.  And that league had no one as strong as this year's UT and OU teams IMO and probably not as strong as this year's BU.

UMass will not finish 21-8 and 10-6 in their league and most certainly won't be a Top 50 RPI team.  This will be ku's worst OOC loss since the last time they lost to UMass and probably their worst loss in the last 10 years at least.

You think that UMass team is suddenly going to turn it around.  This UMass team won't finish better than .500 and likely well under.

last 3 weeks.  yup, i knew it. before ku was exposed in front of a home crowd by a team, Syracuse, that just lost to Cleveland State.  and before ku was exposed in front of another home crowd, by a 3-6 UMass team.

what's the media saying today about ku

hint:   :flush:

the syracuse game was what prompted those quotes.  If anything their stock rose with that loss due to how well they played against a veteran top 25 team away from home.

fact.

nice try though.

oh ok, so ku played well (no they didn't) in a home loss against a team that hasn't sniffed the NCAA tourney in years and gets an AttaBoy award.  cool, got it.  Cleveland State has to feel great right now!!

I think you guys are really desperate for something to hang over the jayhawks.  It's amusing because I think you all know the truth but you just don't want to come to terms with it.

I'm not desperate.  I just don't think they are overly impressive right now.  But as I've said, a few ku teams have started out like that in the past and become pretty good basketball teams.  I just don't think this one has near the ceiling either one of those teams had and its why I think they compare more favorably to the 99 team than 03 and 06.  This has nothing to do with any K-State bias on my part.

A)Syracuse wasn't a top 25 team
B)game was hardly away from home

I know it is neutral for NCAA purposes, but don't act like it was actually neutral.

you can view it however you want I guess but you are wrong and deep down you know it.

Syracuse is a veteran team that unless they lose devendorf should be a solid top 25 team.  The game was at the sprint center...the jayhawks play at allen fieldhouse.

sorry to be rational and factual here.

judging by the fan turn out, you're right.  there was easily as much orange in the Sprint Center as there was ku colors, whatever the frack those are.   terrible fanbase.
