Does anyone else find it amusing Mangino has a grad student following him around carrying his headset cords at all time?

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Toledo was a road game. Kstate wouldn't know what that means yet since you haven't left Manhattan.

And USF is a better opponent than any that Ksu has defeated.

How did your bout with Louisville's second string go?

watching that ku game, they are no different from the TA era.

I feel bad for the diehard ku football fans in some way, they will NEVER get to expierence what we had for 10-12 years. Their "good" season for ku will be similar to their 2005 campaign.

And that's not really a bash at ku, just a statement as to how hard it is to hit that next level. 11 wins 6/7 years. Holy &@#%.

when will ku realize that they aren't good and won't get to a bowl this season?? you guys barely beat LA Monroe, lose to Toledo, and barely beat USF (you would have lost if it wasn't for some sh1tty officiating). You guys are getting worse every week and you better not start KM in Lincoln because he will get killed if you do. ku won't get to a bowl game this year and still have the easiest schedule in the conference.

Is that you Offutt?

Btw, USF > Anything you've beaten so far. Our only loss is a road game. Ksu hasn't even left Manhattan after four games.

And ku got called for more penalties than USF did.

Marshall and USF would definitely be a close game. ku and K-State will be a blow out with K-State coming out on top. K-State would have beaten Louisville if we had a halfway decent offense. And seeing on how we have obviously improved gradually every single game, we will defintely be ready by the time we play you guys in Lawrence. ku however is getting worses as they go. They start out with a somewhat impressive game over NWestern St. then they downgrade to a very very close game with LA Monroe. Then you guys get beat by Toledo because your QB was the reason for five turnovers and your OC is the worst playcaller I have ever seen. Now you guys squeak one out past USF who isn't as good as they have been in the past and have beat some really crappy opponents to be 3-0 going into that game. And they lost the game for themselves, you guys didn't win it, not to mention the officiating was awful and anybody that was completely biased would agree with me. But yeah ku will defintely beat K-State this year  GMAFB

Goldy what aspect of ku's game is remotely positive? Atleast K-State has its defense and special teams. What does ku have? Cornish? It is incredibly easy to shut down a one dimensional offense, see ku in Toledo game.

Toledo didn't shut us down. Our turnovers cost us that game. Hard to win when you turn the ball over five times.

TOTAL NET YARDS     ku 419     Toledo 254

Meier had 243 yards. Cornish is not all we have.

ku's defense is impressive. We held Toledo to no first downs in the second half. They came up numerous times to stop USF tonight. Talib was gone for the first two games and since he has been back, I've been confident in our defense. They're inexperienced but the potential is incredible and satisfactory right now.

Our offense under Meier will improve when Meier cuts down on the interceptions and our playcalling hopefully stops putting him in easy turnover positions. The Toledo game was disgusting because numerous times we could have run Cornish instead of throwing with Meier and it would have been wise to do so. They knew Meier was hurt in the final overtime in the Toledo game and yet they still threw the ball. Wtf? In a year or two this offense under Meier is going to be damn awesome imo. I don't expect perfection while he's a freshman.

Special teams is average. No big mistakes, no real big plays.

the Meier brothers are the complete opposite of the Manning brothers. I wonder if they'll go pro and have games against eachother on Monday night..

How does a ridiculously close game to a crapty team, and KSU losing to the no. 8 team in the nation all of sudden give ku fans a nut sack. Last week it was a meltdown and now we here how we haven't done crap all season.

KSU will progress though the season. KSU played a very respectable game against a top 10 team.KSU has everything new this year, EVERYTHING . ku has an existing program that has been in place for several years now. KSU is still learning and getting better. I don't believe the same can be said for ku. That said ku & KSU seem to raise their respective bars when they play. I still think KSU will be the best team this year by 2 touchdowns. I believe that KSU offense performs at a higher level as their execution gets better. ku players should know thier offense by now.JMO How long until ku plays somebody? That will really be the measure :ksu:

Hey Goldtard, how many players did USF have suspended or injured for that game? Seems about the same as L'Ville without Bush and Brohm.

They weren't missing Bush or Brohm caliber players at those key positions.

ku was missing Meier. We put in Barmann.

And they didn't come in and dominate.

Barmann is better than KM. UofL is a NC contender. Without Brohm they could still give WV a run for there money. With Brohm they are the favorites in that game.

Barmann is not better than KM. Barmann had a good game last night. Next week if Barmann plays you'll see the Barmann ku fans have seen for a while now. A blundering dumbass who throws the ball at the dirt a yard or two before it gets to the receiver.

Louisville is good. But without Brohm and Bush they lost steam. How much would they have rolled you by if both were there? How much with just Brohm? The game wasn't close. Your offense could do nothing. While your defense is good, I have to wonder if Louisville didn't dumb down their offense a bit for the backup QB. Either way, they still won by 18. When Brohm went out, MJ was quick to point out that with their starting QB gone and the game in Manhattan, KSU could win. Why would he say this if Louisville is still so dominant without Brohm? Because he knew they were lacking their punch.

Cantwell is a capable backup who still moved the ball after Brohm went down in the Miami game. Against the Miami D.
Dumbed down the O? Possibly. ku would have faired no better than KSU in this weekend's game. Don't kid yourself.
Also, if you think this year's USF team is as good as last year's, you're dumber than I thought.

A lot of experts are saying that Brohm shouldn't even get the start against WVU. They are saying that he will be cold and Cantwell is the better QB for that game then. Cantwell could very well be a first round draft pick. I doubt they dumbed down their offense. Cantwell got all of the snaps in the Spring game. And had already started in a bowl game. Cantwell would start at any big12 school this year.

USF is a good team this year. They aren't the Louisville beating team they were though.

ku would have gotten murdered by Louisville. The only thing that kept us in the game was our defense. Your defense couldn't stop from giving the Toledo game away. We held the number one offense in the nation to 24 points. They would have hung 40 on you. You might have gotten a TD or a FG more than us but you would not have stopped their O like we did. Petrino was pissed off at how we stopped their offense. Take away the fake punt and the score is 17-6.
