Never said they were an NIT team this season. Do you even watch college basketball? so why base the last two seasons on BS being better than JB if i can't use this year's meeting? do you even watch college basketball? prbly too busy in your 'rec league'.Look, the point is that Boeheim has been to the NIT two straight years. If that were the case for Bill Self, this wouldn't even be a discussion. As for the head-to-head, I don't think that this year's game decisively gives Boeheim the edge. Syracuse came back from 14 points down to send the game to overtime. Considering that Syracuse returned multiple starters from last year and is the more experienced team, while ku replaced five starters and brought back 4 scholarship players from last year, I'd give the edge to Self. JMO.Ben your reasoning for "better" active coaches is hilarious.yes, self is so much better than the third winningest active coach who also has a NC. He's coached for like 40 years. Of course he has more wins. Like I give a f*ck.

Donovan was in the NIT last year. Roy's team lost to Self's team by 18 points in the Final Four last year. Calipari's team lost to Self's team in the Nat'l Championship last year. Howland and Calipari have never won a Nat'l Championship. Coach K? Talk about SNOWCOAT. Pitino? LMAO... they just lost to Western Kentucy by 14 points. Tom Izzo? Michigan State just lost to Maryland by 18 and UNC by 35.

So I guess going by yugojayhawks definition Frank is just as good of a coach as Bill Self, after all they have split head to head and both were in the NCAA tourney last year.
All Self has done is win conference title after conference title, have the best winning percentage in the nation over his tenure at ku, and oh yeah the stat he leads all KSU coaches of all time in, National Championships: 1
