This was the only reason I got season tickets last year and year before. Perfect op to KATPAK on way to Manhattan and at 'bachi Hut/Maes/RAB before, then go to game, then drive home. Rinse/Repeat. Great way to spend a weekday night during the winter.

Large chain restaurant.  Decent food, but small menu. 

Gordon Biersch Brewery has better food...it's a chain also, but a small one.

meh.  if i was coming into town i'd just go to minsky's in river market and grab a pizza, couple of pitchers of beers, and hang down there until gametime.  the whole P&L place just sucks.

This is what I did last year.  They have a super secret party room they'll let you use if you have a sh*tload of people and call ahead.

I think P&L is fine, though.  Especially the open bar area.  (<-either when it's something big like B12 tourney or a quiet weeknight).

Ate at the Ted's out at the LEgends and it was awful.  Of course, I got the bison burger to be different.  Don't do it.  It tastes like a hamburger that got very dusty.

The P&L is cool but not made for old timers so the OBs can go to Minskys.

The beer at the Flying Saucer is good, and the soft pretzels are the best I've ever had by a lot.  Not sure I'll be there (think friends are meeting at McFadden's), but that's my 2 cents.

Any Wildcat in KC not going to this game sucks.  The ~2 hour drive for every game is a semi-legit excuse; going downtown for one freaking game is the least they can do.  I know I'm preaching to the choir here though...

Their Kitchen Sink Burger (think thats what it's called, you know eggs, cheese, ham, etc on a burger) is pretty &@#%ing delicious.  One of the better tasting burgers Ive ever had.  Also (sounds kind of weird,  but) their meatloaf is &@#%ing great.  Never hung out in one just to drink though, seems like the beers were fairly pricey, and I don't really think the atmosphere is exactly conducive to that type of thing.

Goin to flying saucer around 530, great beer selection and pretty good food.  If you want best food and beer in p&l go to Gordon Biersch.  Great beer and great food...can take forever and be pricey, but well worth it imHo.
