JamSam was the only real bright spot of the game yesterday.

I was pissed Dom didn't get more playing time in the second half.

I think he really screwed up w/ Porter.  Merriewether really did the best job on him, and was probably the main reason we got back in the game.

Still, Sutton could guard someone else.  :dunno:

Our 3rd best player right now?

Right now our guys are so up and down, its hard to place them.  I suppose I'd put them in tiers.

Clemente/Pullen
Sutton/Samuels
Colon/Anderson/Brown
Kent/Awaji/Merri

Exactly....Sutton should have been in the game somewhere - I am thinking he should have been out there instead of Pullen.  Merriewether did do a good job on him but, we needed to have more players that would pose as on offensive and defensive threat.  I didn't get to see Sutton after the game but, I were him - I would have been pissed sitting on the bench.

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with that.  He's got to play much better.

It "should" look much better next year.  No doubt, this is "Wooly/Asbury-talented" team*.

next year, with Kelly, Judge, Samuels, and then pullen, clemente, and brown, we should be able to run much better, maybe tennessee style..

JamSam was the only real bright spot of the game yesterday.

I was pissed Dom didn't get more playing time in the second half.

Ron Anderson's inside moves to the basket.

Maybe it is because Colon sucks so bad...but RA is "getting a little better everyday."

Ron did play one of his better games but, the boy has got to rebound better.  Colon is better than last year...

Mid way through the second half, the announcers mentioned that Sutton was in warm-ups on the bench.  Did he play at all in the second half?  Injured, or just in Frank's doghouse?

Anderson displayed last night why he is by far our most offensively skilled big man. JamSam was equally impressive last night.

Luis Colon . . . 17 minutes, 5 rebounds (1 offensive), 1 block, 2 assists, 1 block, no points.

Ron Anderson . . . .20 minutes, 5 rebounds (3 offensive), 0 blacks, 1 assist, 2 steals, 12 points

I really don't understand why Colon and Kent are still starting.  I would feel much better with those guys coming off the bench for 10-12 minutes a game.  JamSam and Anderson are light years ahead of those guys.

Colon and Kent are perfect role players.  Come in, hustle on D, kill some minutes, and any points are a bonus.  When your starting center has zero points and your starting PF has four, it's pretty damn hard to win.

Granted Anderson was better last night, but Colon and Anderson are pretty much identical statistically so far this year.

Anderson gave up too many bone-headed easy baskets to a team with no good bigs for me to be happy with his performance last night though.

I'm not trying to say Ron is anything better than OK, I just think he has more to add to the game than Colon.  Like offensive moves that don't include five steps.  They are pretty interchangeable though.  But Jam Sam definitely needs to be starting over Kent though.

Yes.  Can't happen soon enough.  You gotta love opening the second half w/ Darren Kent yelling "FADE-A!!!" a la the Alltel commercial a couple times.

As far as I'm concerned, anything we get from Lu that doesn't result in an ejection is a positive.  I'm totally fine w/ his role.

Colon played much better in Vegas.  Both are going to play.  And actually Colon has far exceeded my expectations this year and if anything Anderson is playing about how I thought he would.

I just have a hard time getting too concerned about how either played last night; though Anderson really helped us down the stretch.  By far the most disappointing performance was Pullen, then Sutton.  Colon, if he was even disappointing at all, wasn't even close to those 2.  We have to have Pullen and Sutton playing well to beat teams.  Colon, not so much.

the biggest disappointment from last night, aside from CM, was our defensive effort.  it really was garbage.  that oregon team is bad.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.
