in my head...

How the frack did we lose that game?

The stars were truly aligned for the uk Wildcats to win that. 9.5/10, they don't shoot anywhere close to 68% against us. 9/10 we don't shoot 23% for the first half and 36% for the game. 9/10, we don't go up against a player that was UNBELIEVABLE the first half. 9/10 The White Tiger doesn't play his absolute worse game of his college career. 99/100 this doesn't happen at the same time.

We are going to be a helluva team come conference time though. I'm thinking we win 21/22 games this year and MAKE the NCAA's baring injuries.

dude, you're insane.  kent has played lots of worse games.  and if ksu keeps feeding him the ball in a high paced game where he's matched up against much better players, he'll keep turning it over at a ridiculous pace.

and give up the fg% idiocy.  meeks is among the best shooters in the country.  being surprised when he sticks open js is stupid.  even stupider is bitching about uk hitting 68%.  you overplay and press all game to force 31 turnovers and you're going to give up a ton of layups.  most d1 teams will tend to hit a decent % of layups.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

Yes, our pressure D will give up some lay-ins, but no one shoots nearly 70% in major college basketball very often. To some extent, the stars were aligned for uk last night.

Meeks was unconscious in that 1st half, give him some credit, they were not just open j's.

Agreed - Kent has played some horrific games in his career. Last night was equal to his best game as a frosh or soph.

War Frank Martin telling our &@#%ing big men to not dribble the ball in the paint when double teamed.

i give him a ton of credit.  he's a great player.  a 1 meter cushion from 22 feet is an open j for him.  6'4", exc. elevation and a quick release.  plus he's a good enough athlete and ball handler to go by if you overplay.  ksu won't face another perimeter player that can score as easily as meeks all year.
