You're right. Meeks and Patterson are both pretty lousy players. We're &@#%ed because we lost to a well-coached team with a pair of great players by two points on a neutral floor.

Aside from the 10-minute stretch during which our dudes couldn't stop tripping over their own feet, we played pretty well, IMO.  Kentucky has at least two supremely talented dudes (Meeks and Patterson).  Chalk this one up to inexperience.

even though we could of won, we will far well this year with homecourt advantage at the octagon! :ksu:  That pressure with crowd noise could destroy some great teams (ie ku last year) :ksu:

They have talent out the ass dude.

UNC has talent out the ass.  Considering what UNC did to uk pretty much proves uk does not have talent out the ass.  Unless you also admit VMI has talent out the ass.

Naw.....NO One in the Big XII has Meeks. Kent will likely be shipped off to China for a kidney or something. Colon will take over starting Center thank god(never thought I'd say that). Hopefully, Hightower will ref before these ref us again.

I actually like our chances to get over the 20 win point MUCH more now after seeing this game. Offensively, we had the WORST game we will likely have. Defensively, we played GREAT...screw the % given up....those were because of the KENT turnovers and Press mistakes...and MEEKS unbelievable fire.

We beat this team on a true neutral floor 7-8 times out of 10.

I just hope Pullen is ok...it looked like his ankle though and not his knee from the replay.

    The very best.
we lose one player off this year. kent.

we add 5 players.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

If the 'Cats go 1-1 in the next 2 there's a good chance they'll win 12-ish OOC games this season which doesn't exactly suck as it very probably implies a 20-ish win season.  I'd take that, particularly given how young this team is and how much help is on the way next year.

It's freaking Kentucky, your illiterate issure with talent vs. final score is not what we're debating here.

we aren't in the same orbit with the best teams, it's just a fact (no where NEAR talent-wise)... but, the effort is there and we had a shot to tie at the end... reminds me of the old days :cyclist:

Apparently, it takes a dude going for 24 in a half, us shooting like absolute crap for the majority of the game, the refs Fritz &@#%ing us, and our opponent shooting about 70% from the field for us to lose.  I don't see that string of events all happening in the same game too terribly often.

great call.  they'll be a tourney team when their freshmen get up to speed.

"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."
