he just needs to build game confidence... once he gets some (and the three helps) he will have a pretty salty all-around game

qft. He's probably just too used to the 'Give Beasley the ball' offense that he doesn't try to score because before... he didn't need to.

That's the point.  Dude needs to develop a mid-/long-range shot.  It's a glaring weakness.

He's talked about that himself.  Says it'll come & that he's on top of it.

Sutton played the best game on the team last night.  15 points 6 boards he is what he is but he plays within himself and he plays hard.  He's really improved his free throw shooting from last year.  His stroke at the line makes me think he can shoot the ball some he just needs confidence....maybe next year.

Sutton is our best all around player. Anyone who understands the game of basketball can see what he brings to this team. Anyone who evaluates a players worth simply based on scoring ability has no idea what they are talking about. He'll develop more of an offensive game later in the year.

I agree that part of this season is getting him out of the pass to Bill or Mike mode of offense. Frank will get him to be more aggressive because he is really the only slashing type of player we have. Jake and Denis can get in the lane, but they are just too short to finish against very many bigs.

War Fred Brown waiting more than 40 seconds to take his 1st shot last night.
