    ANGRY AS F*CK
As I'm surrounded by mostly OU and UT fans, this has become extremely annoying.

Assuming that "Big Game Bob" doesn't choke and lose to the Pokes (and then beats Mizzou), should it be OU or UT ranked #2?

To me, it's a no-brainer.  The BCS has set the precendent (with OU, mind you), that winning your conference isn't a main criteria of being in the championship game.  Therefore, UT beat OU, so UT is the better team.  You can't even argue with that, but OU fans still try.

I'm going to go ahead and say that UT will beat the Bama/Florida winner and take the National Championship, and Colt will win the Heisman....and OU fans will bitch and moan about it for a year.

What happened in 2003 will not happen again, unless if a team doesn't win their conference is CLEARLY without a doubt the #2 team

IMO, OU would have a better shot at beating a SEC team, and OU is better now than UT

    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
I really think the Pokes will beat OU.

Weird feeling.

But let's say that OU wins, I still think that UT should be in the MNC.

Agreed on both counts.  It would be a shame to see OU go to the Big 12 Championship.  Not because I don't think they'll beat Mizzou but because I think Texas is better.  And traditionally speaking, OU will probably choke in their BCS game.
Here's hoping that Clams is chillin' with someone cool up in that big EMAW in the sky. RIP Clams, RIP.

Not even a debate, only a complete opcat would argue that OU is better than our rival.

So by this arguement tech should go since they beat Texas, but ok beat tech so ok goes, but tx beat ok... :runaway:

Can we just have a fracking playoff.

Tech has nothing to do with it...UT beat OU on a neutral site. Checkmate. Unfortunately for us living in Oklahoma, we get to hear constant whining from OU players, coaches, fans, and the local media about how the head-to-head shouldn't matter because they're 'better' now. (Dumb)

Which team has the worst loss? UT. I'd also like to take in the final score of the OU/OSU game, too. If OU absolutely pounds OSU, then it's clear to me that OU is playing better now than UT.

You need to read the post above yours that Oklahoma Cat just posted.  Shouldn't matter what OU does to OSU.  Maybe OSU and TECH were/are playing worse than they were earlier in the year?  It's kind of a dumb argument that OU is playing better now.  OU gets way too much hype as does USC and Ohio St. and blah blah blah.  Something we'll all have to live with until a playoff happens.

^^ Then why aren't we discussing TT as possible South champ and contender for the NC game? All have one loss, and apparently who and how they lost/won don't come into play, so why not TT?

What would have happened if OU/Tex were sitting at 1 and 2 instead of 2 and 3 and stayed that way after conference championship games?

Are you fracking kidding me?  OU has a 10 point loss on a neutral field, UT a 6 point loss on the road.  OU has the worst loss.

Again, there is no debate unless you're a tard.

What would even be more awesome is if somehow missouri won the ccg. They would be big 12 champs and be at best the 3rd best team in the conference. I love chaos in the bcs. Doesn't matter though, cash money trumps all.

The big 12 would count the money they made on the ccg and still call tech or mu big12 champs.

Are you fracking kidding me?  OU has a 10 point loss on a neutral field, UT a 6 point loss on the road to a team far inferior to OU.  UT has the worst loss.

You realize TX already beat OSU and MIZzou?  Oh yeah, and OU?

This cross game analysis is stupid.  Look at how OU struggled against uk and TX went into uk and stomped the crap out of them.  I'll bet the farm that OU won't defeat MIZzou as badly as TX.  It goes both ways.

We should be talking about Tech I suppose.  They don't get the "pub" like OU or Texas and it just makes it that much harder on them.  If they lose early in the year like a USC or OU and finish strong, they still wouldn't be sniffing a BCS game.  All about the ratings draw.

It wasn't just a one-time thing, though.  Nebraska didn't even win the NORTH back in 2001 and yet still got to play in the NC game.

I think if they played again that OU would win handily.  But that's just watching them on tv.

but tx should be ranked higher.

Way to pick apart my statement. OU would beat TT 8 outta 10 times. UT would prolly split their games. TT proved they could beat UT. If you want to use your logic, I can argue for TT.

Don't forget that OU beat tcu and Cinn. (both ranked in top 20) pre-conf. while UT was beating up on UTEP.

Also, TIMING is a big part of it. Losing late in the season (UT) is worse than losing earlier (OU).

Also, UT's loss looks worse after OU kicked the tar out of Tech.

Tough call though, UT did beat OU, but there are a lot of other factors (^^^).

&@#% it, Tech should go. They have the head to head and same record as the team that CatsNCheifs has undeniable proof as the "best" team. TT beat them, they should go. Head to head. Proof. Undeniable. Hands down. etc, etc.

No scenario should OU play in the national championship ahead of Texas.
