1.  Donors knocking doors down with blank checks.   Hire who you need, build what you need.

2.  Fan base offering to help move all his furniture into his house, walk his animals, drive his kids to school, etc..

3.  Standing room only for all press conferences, catbacker events, and other assorted appearances, guaranteed to be thrilling.

4.  Packed Stadium with rousing Wabashes everytime he throws his headset down.

What other things as fans would you do for this man?

in all seriousness, he would be the REAL follow up to the Legendary Bill Snyder.

98% of Cat fans were creaming their jeans over Rockstar Ronnie.

I wasn't, and got called lots of names for it.  Mean ole cyber bullies.

Whoever we hire, I'll treat it with guarded optimism.  Moving Fran was supposed to turn aTm into a beast....

where did you find this stat. I've been trying to find a link.

by the way, when we landed Freeman...plus made a bowl with the first year rookie QB in year 1 of Prince.....were things better then than they are now? Be objective.

I was always down on Freeman.  Too soft headed, was given the job without earning it.

also, let's look at ku and MU's progression since Prince's hire..., plus NU getting a new coach and still looking better than us.

Things looked much more appealing for a young coach like Prince than they do now. It's a long list.

Yeah, my buddy that played with Prince at Dodge turned me on to this website, and said it's populated mainly by those that have awakened to the depth of his ineptitude.

Someday I'm going back to Timmy's site and say I told you so, breaking my word that I had made my last post ever after giving my reasons behind my disapproval of the hire.

I knew who Prince was, I met him in 1989.  I visited my buddy in Dodge that played with him there.  Prince never got off the commons-area couch the whole weekend.  And my buddy that played with him....decided to give up his season tix as soon as he heard Prince was hired.  And he wasn't the only teammate that felt that way about Ronnie.  One that went on to ku was LHAO.  Says a lot, don't it?

:curse:

It just makes me so angry that people at KSU didn't listen to people like you during the hiring process.  I mean everyone I knew who knew him said the same thing: Unqualified and Too Arrogant.

Real Kansas knew all about Ron Prince and knew the program was doomed as soon as he was hired.  I wrote a very long email to Tim Weiser when I heard the news explaining my objections.  All I got back was a form reply.  So I sent 30 more.  I finally got a reply that threatened my Alumni membership!

Well Tannoudji, I have to admit that all the bitching I did was on message board forums, and the only thing I ever said to Weiser was that maybe we'll let him back in the building at the Nut Fry if his new coaches win a game--this was in May of 06 when he, Huggy and Prince were all there.

I also heard from the mouth of the son of a big money booster out here that none other than Bill Snyder read Prince's 17 page scholarly paper on his "plan", and said he was the man.  I have trouble believing that, but because I did hear it, I backed off a little bit, sit back, shut up and see what happens.

We've all seen what happened.

I was somewhat  :ksu: about Prince, then he beat Texas, went to a bowl and I was still somewhat  :ksu:.

Hey, if you're like a lot of KSU fans who saw a lot of crap football prior to Snyder, you don't get all that uspet about going 7-6, beating Texas and looking like things are headed back to right direction.

But then it became  :) and then  :-[ and then  :'( and then  and then  :banghead: and now  :chainsaw: with some  added.

Que?

If had written an after the fact letter to Weiser, he would have unhired Prince?

I could have written a powerful complaint, based upon 2nd-hand knowledge of things that occurred and impressions that were made in 1988-1990, and made the arguments that someone from the Fry/Snyder/Stoops coaching tree should have been hired.
