As I watched the Miami/FSU game, one thought kept occurring to my buddy and I: roll our QB out...get him away from the chaos that the O-line allows to ensue.

Why wouldn't we roll him out? He's got decent legs too...he could at least pick up a few yards on a covered play.

What about eye-gouging the D-Line?

    The very best.
Rolling a QB out requires a Big-time Arm.

Dyl doesn't have.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Fatty, with our O-line, our QB (whichever it is) will likely be throwing on the run a lot anyway. Might as well give him some initial space to buy time before he has to chuck it away.

Let me phrase this another way: is there a valid reason to NOT roll him out?

The Valid Reason is the "jamming a square peg into a round hole" concept of implementing a new offense.

Are you saying you can't roll out in the WCO?

No he's saying the Meier is insufficiently athletic to properly execute a WCO-style offense.

I guess the bigger question is ... do we really know what DM can do anymore??

Or ... was he so locked down by the coaching staff in this last game he could do much of anything.??

I am also trying to understand why the WCO seemingly means no more QB running game??

Did KSU run the shotgun 1 time Saturday night ... I have only seen bits and pieces of the video, so I don't know for sure.

I'm sure James Franklin was right there on the sideline saying, "OK Dylan go out there and loft a pass gently into double coverage late over the middle.  And whatever you do keep your eye on the receiver from the snap all the way through until the play ends."  Meier is borderline physically incapable of playing QB for a I-A program.  Oh &*$@!, our starting QB is a cripple.

That is simply wrong.  He threw some bullets on Saturday night.  I was surprised that Jordy caught the pass for his 30 yd gain because Meier threw it so hard.

I'm not buying the "Meier physically can't throw on the run" argument just yet.

Roll the f*cker out. Can't be any worse than last Saturday.

Roberson was PERFECT for rolling out.

Roberson was PERFECT for rolling out.

Roberson was more physically gifted than Meier.

In fact, when it comes to being physically gifted, Bishop and Roberson were miles ahead of the next qb.

I'm pretty sure he rolled out on the two point conversion.

    THE b IS NOT CAPITALIZED
Just let Scary figure out the Smart thing to do.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

A three yard completion.  I see what you mean, string a few of those together and you end up with 4th and 1.

A good question for the media to ask Prince is if Meier is allowed to scramble freely.

Haven't gotten an answer on that.

Well, 3x3 does equal 9.  But I'm not here to argue the mind blowing mysteries of basic math with you.
