K-State's history of walk-ons

I have to say, I find it kind of funny for everyone to bash our running game so much b/c we have a walk-on in the backfield.  I think as KSU fans we should feel positive about a potential impact player walk-on.  After all we have had just a few of them here at K-State, including 1 that just went in the 2nd round of the NFL draft.  I'm not saying that Valentine will be that good, but he seems to have the makings of a very good back.  When you watch him run he seems to have very good balance, vision, and strength; and decent speed. Probably more than anything the kid just seems to have a great attitude about everything, and loves the opportunity that he was given to come play here.

We've had probably 90 walk-ons since 2000, and 4 or so have started.

If he was beating out experienced players for the job, you might have a point.  He's basically got the job because he's the only person on the team to have ever lined up behind a QB in a game beyond highschool.

The reason I forgot is that the guy has done nothing so far. Hopefully that will change.
