Are you kidding or what?  That guy was out of place more often than Smoke Patterson, and at least patterson had an excuse for constantly being stoned out of his mind...

Worst tackler on the team, this is a no brainer, Reggie Walker.  What a pussy!

Courtney Herndon, are u f'n kidding?  Did you watch any football games last year?  Goddamn man, pull the tape of the f'n ku game.  Anytime Herndon was brought up near the line of scrimmage he got lit the F up.  Hopefully he doesnt see the field other than maybe special teams this year.

And any powertard on here thinking Walker is all big 12 LB caliber has about as much fball IQ as Tim Fitzgerald.

Whats next......somebody going to start comparing Houlik to Buhl.... :flush:

They played alright in the Texass game...had a great first half against Colorado ( gave up some rush yards in the 2nd half though)...and well against baylor (yeah i know its only baylor, but remember they spanked us two years ago)

and of course the pitiful performance against the Nubbs (I would have made the defense find their own way back to manhattan after that game and sent Tibbs back to North Dakota).

I'm not saying Reggie has shown that he is even considered for honorable mention All Big 12, but he definitely has the tools and the attitude to end up there after this season...he's been a starter since his frosh season for a reason, he just needed another year to better understand his responsibilities in a new defense and new position (moving from outside in the 4-3 to inside in a 3-4). Oh, and by the way, who would you recommend start over Reg?  :shy:

He has started since his frosh year because our talent level has been that awful...worst since 1990.  And please dont say Brandon Archer (I think he is still trying to chase down Ray Rice somewhere...)
Last year we really had no depth at all (ex. John Houlik even seeing the field in crucial times in games ) BUT this year we have alot better depth....if he is still starting come midseason, then our "stud juco recruits" arent gonna pan out like expected (even by GPC standards)

I understand they were learning a new scheme last year, but come on, the fundamentals of tackling doesnt change in any scheme.....and last year we had alot of LB's (especially Reg) trying to arm tackle...hence the 15+ missed tackles in the ku game.  F'n wrap up!

I agree we haven't had the talent level we really need, but the JUCO backers should bring that depth and competition needed to drive a 3 year starter to more of his potential playing ability.

Also, if you've ever been a linebacker one of the most important things (especially in the 3-4) is having a d-line strong enough to take up blockers and not allow 3 of them to get up into the second level and completely disrupt all of your reads. Therefore, you could have a pretty strong corp of LBs playing behind one of the craptiest in Big 8/12 history and they'll look like absolute crape no matter what.

I agree, the Dline was just flat out awful last year....but some of that has to go on the coaching staff....they knew damn well that they would be thin at that spot GOING into the season....make sum damn adjustments then....

There should be NO excuses this year......and some of the "cancer players" have finally graduated too...hopefully changing the attitude around there.

    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
Speaking of "C-Hern"

Happy (belated) Birthday Stunner.

Story:

I stayed at the Clairon Inn for the CU game. If you didn't know already the football team stays at the Clairon, anyway they have 2 computers in their "business center". Reading the sports paper in the lobby Courtney Herndon gets on facebook, he is there for like and hour and a half, while on facebook Justin Roland and I have a 15 minute conversation about football, ect. Justin walks past the business center and tells Courtney. "God Damn C-Hern you ever going to get of that crap??!!!" Really loud. It was hilarious.

Also saw Ron Prince really early one morning like 6:30, I swear to god that man takes up the whole flight of stairs, I could hardly get around him. I asked him if we were ready, he said you bet. It was the ku game when he said that. He lied.

csourk is the best pre-college poster on this board.  way better than oxlp956
