    Sniff Sniff. . . I smell Heisman.
Had no idea.

Michael Bishop played one season (2000) with New England and showed incredible athletic ability. In fact, not only was Bishop ahead of Tom Brady on the Patriots depth chart, but also many fans loved his potential Michael Vick ability they wanted him in the line-up.

People that compare Vick to Bish are absurd.
csourk is the best pre-college poster on this board.  way better than oxlp956

He should have been considering he was in the Patriots system one season earlier than Brady was.

iirc, Weis/Belichick were disappointed in MB's ability to master their playbook.  Thus, John Friesz was usually Bledsoe's backup when a crunch time sub was needed.

Remember when Jack Rudney got all pissed off about how cocky David Jaynes was, so he cut out the crotch of his pants, and the first time Jaynes stuck his hands under there Jaynes came backing out.  Old Hank yelled down from the tower to get a new QB in there, and that was it for David Jaynes and the NFL.

Interesting.

I'd have assumed Jaynes would have preferred to stay in place and just jiggle his jewels.

Yeah, I remember that.  I remember thinking "Who the hell is this Brady guy?"  Now MB is a trivia question.

I was actually at the game in Foxborough where Brady started his first career game in 2001.  Several fans around me were complaining that they wished Bishop was playing instead, but the Pats had cut Bishop at the start of the season.  Brady didn't play very well in that game.

    Knows What Brent Did...
If touchdowns were dogs, Bishop wouldn't electrocute/beat to death near as many touchdowns as Vick.
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.
