gotta admit, little scary going head to head with dooley for a nj recruit.   :ohno:  dude owns that place.

that dude is a stud.  he'll sign here after he realizes he's being recruited to "Point Guard and NBA Skill Development U." vs "Bill Seffs Negro Parade"

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

What, no faith in northstar?

BTW, this probably lends some validity to the Pressey report from Northstar as well:

From a Leawood post earlier in thread for those who are

Quote
Two new names I have run across:

Kyrie Irving PG out of New Jersey and number 27 2010 player per Rivals

http://blog.northstarbball.com/2008/09/07/school-lists.aspx?ref=rss

http://kansasstate.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=85480&sport=2

Phil Pressey PG out of Dallas and number 42 2010 player per Rivals

http://blog.northstarbball.com/2008/09/07/school-lists.aspx?ref=rss

i'd completely forgotten that to be honest.   but yes, the new rivals report does make pressey more believable  :lick:.  but no mention of ksu in a rivals article on him today  :crybaby:.  how many point guards does ksu want?  are they recruiting anyone who isn't a point?  i guess the 2010 wings are about locked up with boyd and shipman.  boynton to uf all but guarantees the shipman transfer.  though it may still be too early to predict if we get him in '10 or '11

highly doubt boynton affects shipman's status at UF.  boynton is 1 and done, 2 and done at most.

shipman doesn't want to wait till he's a junior to see the court.

we are now listed with him on rivals

here's some info from northstar:

"Derrick Williams '10, St. Anthony's (NJ)
Williams, a 6'6 power forward, was certainly deserving of MVP honors in this contest. A physical specimen, Derrick is ferocious in the post. As a matter of fact, he is an absolute beast in the paint. Williams is really a pure low post player, as he does not do too much away from the low blocks, though he did do a nice job of hitting his free throws on Sunday. Assuming Williams continues to grow, he could be special."

    Ready for Maize girls!
info from NBE basketball report:

"Derrick Williams, 6’6” PF. St. Anthony’s:
For only a Junior this kid is huge. Looks like a football player in a basketball jersey. Williams is no oaf, he is aggressive and moves adequately for a man his size. Junior game MVP for New Jersey. Holds offers from Seton Hall, LaSalle, Fordham, and UVA."

they weren't with williams.  ksu was mentioned in a post on traynham, though.  fortuitous.

new dwill rivals story.

http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=872157

this sounds good.

Quote
Williams has offers from UVa, Seton Hall and Fordham, and he's also drawing serious interest from Miami, Marquette, St. John's, Kansas State, Temple, Virginia Tech and Providence.

but, he all but eliminates ksu when he talks about his priorities.

Quote
"Education, education, education," Williams said. "I want to get a great education."

Jai Lucas is transferring now.  That's a bad sign on the Shipman transfer.  I don't suppose we have any shot at Lucas.  Donovan should steer him to us.  he frackin' owes us.

BTW, How awesome would Lucas be coming in next year and playing after Clemente leaves?  Answer: very awesome!

Heard about Jai.  We really need a good transfer for '10 imo.  One a year is my new thing.

Yeah, I have a lbbiq as well but try to "hang" in the "with it" crowd.  I like your analysis about being nails from outside.  That's the kind of thing us lbbiq types need to say more of imo.
