Found this at another site; quite amusing:

Miller is a typo for Bill Walker (and a bad one). It was late as is tonight. Have to disagree Self would not have taken on Beasley. ku has always prided themselves in how many of their players actually graduate. The priority to college is a degree. The one year rule is bad for the NCAA BB. To draft Beasley has to first pass a background check. Wish he would stay and get his degree. The Big 12 needs the attention. He could sure use the well paid for education.

Grad Rates:

ku (2008) = 45%
ku (2007) = 45%
ku (2006) = 43%
ku (2005) = 60%
ku (2004) = 73%
ku (2003) = 70%

yep that steady decline supports the notion Bku prides itself on graduating bball players.

Also, seems to me that ku lost a player early just last year, if I'm Wright.

So is he disagreeing with someone saying that Self would not have taken on Beasley, or instead arguing that he thinks that Self wouldn't want Beasley? Dude needs to learn about commas.

This was a she who wrote this. Here is her earlier comment and my reply:

Good Luck, seriously Beasly does not make a team. Too bad he has to drag the cats in to play with him. Miller as well as coach just have done Michael an in justice. But then this one year rule for NBA players using scholarship money that does not go towards an education does college basketball an in justice. Only turns the tide for a team for one season. Then the player moves on...job done...make a million+++. Frustrating!!

Who is Miller?? No one is saying Beasley makes the team ... but I dare you to find a team that would have turned him down ... ku or ut included ... as ku found out earlier in the season, if the rest of the players show up for K-State, it's a really hard team to beat.

Callin' bullsh*t on that one.  All five of Kansas' seniors this year have/will graduate.  Jeremy Case is a grad student.  As for the main topic, there are some really stupid ku fans out there.  Every fanbase has their share.

"Touchy?"  No... just amused that K-State fans can't enjoy their own win without somehow trying to bash ku.

argue with them, but I think the 2008 study is based on the 2007 season.

The uk fan comment in the OP is stupid and deserved to be bashed whether K-State won its game or not.

That's the whole point, and really, the flaw in the analysis.  We had Padgett, Wilkes Giddens and Case all would have been seniors last year.  That they transferred and (possibly) graduated from another school is irrelevant to the analysis.  I don't know whether they're right or not, but we've had a ton of transfers over the last four years and it hurts us in studies like this.

edited to add:  As for the original post, if you can find four ku fans that agree with this dolt that Self or we as fans wouldn't have loved to have Beasley then I'd be surprised.  Next time you see her, ask her if she's hoping ku gets Henry, a probable one and one guy.  Every fan base has its whackjobs.

You make a good point... I'm done being defensive.  Truth be told I was cheering for K-State last night.  Loved to see Ron Andersen step up like that in a big game.  If K-State brings their A-game, you guys can beat anybody.

Wrong they take this (transfers) into account.  Read the study.

Come on.  Do you think KSU, playing their A game, could beat UCLA (not to mention ku, Texas, Tenn, etc.) when they are also playing their A game?

ku shot 48%, was 17-20 from the free throw line, and still got murdered vs KSU.

To your original question, absolutely.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Then I wish you luck today.    And, yes, I will be cheering you guys on.  I would love to beat you guys one more time this season!
