Yesterday was obviously make or break, but the reality is we probably need at least one more in the conference tourney (regardless of what you might be hearing from GoPowertard).  Win two in KC and we may be looking at 6 or 7 seed.

"They're in an OK position for a bid, but they'd do themselves well to pick up a couple wins in the Big 12 tourney."

They have us out??

3 teams in from the Big 12?  No way.  Minimum we'll get in is 5.  We're in for sure probably with Baylor.  Their "college basketball producer" is hardly an expert.

No, they had 3 in. ku, Texas, and OU. "leading contenders" were us and Baylor.

Uhhh that means in.

"Taking our one-bid leagues plus our "safe" teams and assuming VCU, Kent State, Davidson and South Alabama claim automatic bids, that would leave 14 spots up for grabs. There are 22 teams currently on our bubble list."

Seriously do they not teach reading in schools anymore.

OMFG, nothing cracks me up more than so-called experts getting an exasperated tone when they are so wrong.  Did you just read what you wrote?  22 teams on the bubble list.  Guess what - we are one of 22 teams.  Guess "uhhhhh" they can have people be "in" and "on the bubble" in your parallel universe.

    Hey, basketball!!!
I dont listen to CBS sports anything anymore......since yesterday.

Seth Davis on POY:

"I think Michael Beasley is the best overall player, but doesn't mean as much to his team as Hansbrough does to UNC."

Makes no sense, without beasley we would be middle of Big XII (7th or 8th seed in tourney) and on the NIT bubble.

UNC is still a top 5 seed in the NCAA tourney without Hansbrough.

You're kind of dumb.
LOL.  Just quit wasting people's time...

Recap:

14 spots up for grabs

KSU in the top 4

ClayKat thinks that means KSU is out

ClayKat thinks being a bubble team and making the tournament are mutually exclusive

ClayKat just googled mutually exclusive...

Did I miss anything?

QFT. Their "analysts" are terrible already and then they trot out a "producer" with this weak-ass bubble list and solidifies their lack of credibility.  FWIW, I got an email from Andy Glockner and Gottlieb switched his POY vote to Beasley.  One at a time...

Just.....stop....  He didn't have us "in".  Being "in" and being "on the bubble" are two different things.  We're not talking about ultimately being in, these lists are at a point in time.  I'm sorry, I can't help your BBIQ anymore than that.  Good luck to you.

You're missing something.

Current projections:

Big 12 (3): Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma

While its not a rock solid indicator, we are in 53 of 53 projected brackets on The Bracket Project.  I feel pretty safe about our chances at this point.

Seriously, mutually exclusive they are not.  No one's "IN" until the brackets are announced, if you asked the CBS dude if KSU was in right now, he would say yes.  It's not a difficult concept.

Oklahoma is 6-7 vs the RPI Top 50, 10-9 vs the Top 100, has 3 Top 50 OOC wins, has the #10 SOS, and has an RPI of #25.  No BCS conference team has missed the dance in the last 9 years with an RPI of 37 or lower.  They are saftely in.

Yeah, they are a lock.  We should beat A&M since they play at 8:30 the night before but crowd may very well be hostile for us given ku hate.

Easy: 21 D-I wins vs 19 for KSU; #24 RPI vs #44 for KSU.  And after the Big XII Tournament it's entirely likely that KSU and OU will have an equal number of Big XII wins ... and I wouldn't be surprised if OU had one more.

They were tired where we beat them at their place.

The reality is the rest of the bubbles have stepped up and we have struggled barely beating the bottom feeders of the Bi 12 North.

We need a couple solid wins in the Big 12 tourney to solidify anyone out of our fan bases opinion.

Man, you'd think if the big 12's #2 seed is a 1/2 seed, the #3 seed would be a lock.

Oh well.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

ok... sure... now lay that side-by-side with our numbers... i think we're comprable or at least in the same ballpark (except maybe for the rpi) AND beat them at their place
