Shaving in the shower is for big-time retards.  The hot steam from the shower opens up your pores really wide which may make shaving easier (if you're a puss) but it also promotes razor stubble and in-grown hairs because the stubble will bend back into your skin -you retards. Want a rash? In grown hair on your neck?  Feel like a puss retard??

Shave in the shower.

GOD WHAT A BUNCH OF CLOWN FRACKERS.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I have a shower mirror from bed bath and beyond, cost like 10 bucks.  It uses the "power lock" suction instead of a regular suction cup.  Also keep the mirror away from the shower head, on the other side of the shower.  Works great.

Cartridges too expensive.  Over the long haul this will save $$$, and provide a better shave.

2 12 packs of Mach 3 blades will friggin pay for the thing!

They don't last that long either if you want a consistently good shave, at least on my face.

ingrown hairs caused by shaving against the direction of hair growth.  google 'cause of ingrown hair'.

You must shave with hot water or you don't get a close shave.  The best shave is in the shower.

This type of thread is all over every messageboard because of prices for those stupid cartridges that probably cost a  $0.25 quarter to make.

Hey Saul, did you get that idea from? ??....

The problem w/ a straight edge is the maintenance required.  You'd have to get a strop.

Good article so far, though.  I haven't read it all yet, but did they mention WHY people have gotten away from the ways of old?

Gillette used to manufacture double edged razor (like the Merkur I posted), and the blades.  However, other companies started to manufacture blades that would fit their razors, and for cheaper.  They wanted the ability to control the prices of their blades to maximize profits, so they went with a proprietary cartridge based system.

Sink shaving is for peachfuzz-having, high school kids who don't know the first goddam thing about real shaving.  Just stick a fracking suction cup mirror in your shower.

Real men who have 60 grit sandpaper on our faces know all about shower shaving.

I think I've still got the Gilette sensor I got when they sent me one when I was 16 (no 30--yes, I fell into the man's trap).  Have picked up a couple others over the years so I could keep at GF's house or put in a travel bag.  A few years ago, I picked up a couple of electric shavers for a total of $13 when my store put some on clearance for 90% off.  Still haven't opened the 2nd.  But I only use those when I have light stubble.  Thick stuff requires a blade in the shower.  Less mess and less razor burn and ingrown hairs.

I need a mirror.

At Target they have some nice little fog free mirrors, with built in clock, that suction to the wall.  Two Cents

TRIED, SUCKED.

I've found that if you throw a little water on the mirror it will stay clear long enough to shave.  So pretty much its a normal mirror.

I used to buy in to the Mach 3/Fusion hype until I realized what a gigantic ripoff they were.  I've been using disposables for awhile now but am tired of them, so now i'm getting in to traditional wet shaving.

Ordered me one of these:

w/ a badger brush and some shaving soap.  Blades can be had for around 10 cents a piece. (double edged!)   :notworthy:

how's this going sbg

Optical inch works on face as well.

 :fiesta:

Does it make the balls itch?  I have issues with cutting the pubes too close and then getting itchy....been going with the forest for some time now.  Wife doesn't seem to mind, but oral has been in a decidedly bear market since 2002.

I haven't had any "grabbing" issues personally.  Also, was joking about it also working for face (haven't tried but guessing there could be issues).  Recommend for strictly below the waste line maneuvers.
