Best of the Best:
1. Norman Manley (aka "Bob Marley") International Airport (near Kingston, Jamaica) - You'll be flying long before you even hit the plane.
2. All others: not as much fun.

Reagan -- Coolest approach ever.  If you're lucky, they'll bring you down the Potomac from the northwest in the evening and you'll see the mall and the monuments all lit up just before you land, and you think you're going to land in the water.  Makes a bit of patriotism swell up inside.

KCI -- Greatest airport for dropping or picking people up.  "Drive up gates" were revolutionary at the time...unfortunately, with the advent of the hub system it lost competitiveness, but I personally think it's aged pretty well.

KC Downtown -- Never flown in there myself, but an acquaintance who used to fly for TWA back in the day says that when you approached from the south in the evening, you could see people eating dinner in their Quality Hill apartments.

Norfolk -- Worst gawdawful walk ever, and the TWA gate was at the very very end, so it was longer to walk than any other.

Lambert St. Louis -- Pits of hell.  Trying to make a TWA connection in there was horrendous.  Crappy airport, all the way around.

BWI -- Under construction when I was there, which made it a mess.  Not very impressed.

Toronto -- Don't remember much.

Seattle -- Seemed like a pretty cool, contemporary airport.

Minneapolis -- See Seattle.

DFW -- Not bad for as big as Dallas is.

Dallas Love -- Nice option there in Dallas.

Charlotte -- Don't remember it very well...think it was contemporary.

Sky Harbor -- Not bad.

Dulles -- Meh.  People movers were kinda cool as a kid, though.

Richmond -- Don't remember much.

Midway -- Meh.

LAX -- Love seeing the cloud of smog during the descent.

Orlando -- Didn't pay much attention to the airport--I was focused on getting to Disneyworld.

Atlanta -- Don't remember much.

Waco -- Two gates, automatic sliding doors.

Ft. Smith -- See Waco.

Little Rock -- Meh.

Honolulu -- Don't remember.

kuaui -- Don't remember.

San Diego -- Seemed okay when I was there.

Law Vegas -- Gotta love slot machines right outside the gates.

My airport experience is pretty much always the same regardless of location.  Tickets, security, gates, boarding, etc.  If there's a delay, it's due to the weather or the airline and has nothing at all to do with the airport.

In other words, there are a bunch of f*cking asswipes posting in this thread.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I'm sure there's no way you didn't see this.  This dude is so brilliant:  "I'm fortunate that I'm able to afford spending $50 on [bleep] [bleep]."

I vote for Obama cause he doesn't want to take away my bong.  I understand why you would want Huckabee, but why not Paul?  You would probably double your wealth over night.

I respect anyone who'd vote Obama solely on the bong issue, that's a very valid reason.  Huckabee is a loon and a fraud but he is the only Republican on the right side of the Fair Tax issue.  Paul is a loon who would pretty much destroy the entire world economy overnight; fiat money and the unsustainable ponzi scheme that goes along with it are the only reason our standard of living is anywhere near as high as it is.  Even talk seriously about going back to the gold standard and we'll be a third world country overnight.

But Paul has literally no effect on monetary policy.  The Fed Bank Chairman would not be nominated by him because the system would not allow him to destroy it.

Basically it would be 4 years of legislative deadlock with the Democrats and him defunding/cutting spending as much as possible through executive orders and signing statements.  He would have surplus after surplus that he would return to taxpayers or maaaaybe pay down nat'l debt.  But I bet it would just be a slew of tax cuts.  What's to hate?

Murphy's Law of Biology applies: Given the most rigorously controlled conditions, the organism will do as it damn well pleases.  Point being that expecting gridlock or presuming certain outcomes by certain branches or divisions of government is dangerous business.  After all, the sane money said that the previous S.Ct. would instantly overturn the McCain / Feingold vitiation of the 1st Amendment on probably at least an 8-1 vote.  How'd that little inside job turn out?

This Democratic Congress is in gridlock with itself because of the Senate 60 rule, add Paul in the mix and you see where this is going.  He has voted "NO" probably more than any other person in Congress so let's assume that he is going to pretty much veto everything that touches his desk.  Where are the override votes?  It will be Clinton vs. Newt except much more hilarious.

they might be there.
