Java you should check out (park at and have a beer before concert) at JP Winebar then walk over to Sprint Center.  Good times.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Willies is right across I-70, and should be fine for about everyone.  I think McFadden's across Grand will be open, but I think it's a grand opening or something, so it will probably be packed.  Cigar Box is further south on Grand and should have a lounge singer.

There are more, but those are the closest.

Well, I went last night, and had an absolute blast...thanks to slimz for the very helpful tip on tickets still being available.  I'll try to do a report as best I can...as usual, it will be choppy and random.

Got Dang it, Rusty !

I was waving at you and you just ignored me.   :curse:

Actually, with the mass of folks, you probably thought I was waving at Garth and/or Trisha.  They certainly waved at me...   ;)

Mrs. cyclist's company had a suite.  Let me tell you, that was sweet (pun intended).  It's been years since I've been to a concert, and this was a lot of fun.

And I did enjoy Trisha's part, but it wasn't her best work at all.  She can really belt out the songs.  Her following is more niche, obviously.  And like everyone has said, Garth has a great bond with the audience.  His voice was kinda going, but it didn't matter as the audience was singing along anyway.

Oh, and it's going to be a great arena for basketball, hockey, etc.

I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

Glad you were able to get tickets, Rusty.  Good review.

Going again tonight, with the original tickets/group of friends I had organized.  I think/hope the Friday night crowd will be amped up (not that Monday's wasn't).

Woot!

 :woot:

(And how classless of you to sit in a suite, Cyclist.   )

This weekend has awesome written all over it.  Garth tonight.  Watch the DVR of the Cats later tonight.  Watch the Nebraska game tomorrow morning.  Watch the Cats in Manhattan on Sunday.  Off work Monday.
