•Kansas is trying to combat a profane kickoff chant by reaching out through the media and asking the students to regulate themselves, said Jim Marchiony, associate athletics director.

When their band came to Manhattan they did that chant.  "Take their f**king heads off"

Rock...Chalk...Chicknhawk...F**K ku.

How about this golden nugget from the high school years:
Shimmy up a toothpick, shimmy up a straw, eat me, eat me, raw, raw, raw.

LOL.  ku "football fans" and "students" suck.  When you sit at a game in that septic tank, you can feel your FBIQ slipping away...

I can't speak for the University as a whole, but personally, I have a plethora of profane cheers.  The more hammered I get in the parking lot before a game, the more profane they get.  Old ladies and children be darned.   :cheesy:
Welcome back, Bill.

LOL . . . yeah, imagine if being able to listen or play a song based on the moral character of the performer, 85% of music would be banned.

What?

I'm pretty sure he's referring to when the band threatened to stop playing the song to which students chanted "We're gonna beat the f*** outta you."

I don't think that had anything to do with the performer of the original song.

I sure hope the representatives from the Cotton, Fiesta, Sugar, and Orange bowls aren't offended by the chant on Saturday vs. Nebraska.

LOL.  That was enjoyable.  I wish there was more cussing/classlessness at games.  Nothing violent, just good old fashioned college kids having fun.

Wow.  That's an impressive lineup.  It would really suck for ku to lose to NU.  All of the major bowl reps would have to cross ku off the list at the same time.

Regardless of the bowl, assuming you are there, you will leave at halftime.

I have yet to understand the problem people have with these chants.  Its just college kids having fun.  While myself I am beyond the college age, but seriously, let them have fun.  The focus should be on the game, not people crying about chants and stuff that goes on in the stands.  And for the people who complain because they have their children with them,  what do they expect?  You cant shield your children from the world.   Id be willing to bet that half the people, alumni included, that complain about what they deem as vulgar chants at a football game, leave their children sitting in front of a tv the rest of the time seeing much worse, yet they say nothing about that.  Ignore it, watch the game, enjoy the atmosphere.

At Colorado, scoreboard messages and mass e-mails targeting football fans about profanity have not helped, said senior Greg Rosenthal. "People grow to accept that it's part of the college football experience. It comes with the territory."

No kidding, it hasn't changed things there?  Wouldn't have guessed.  They're so bad that they're starting to excuse it as normal.
