    This ZERO is my Hero
With being at the season halfway mark, it would be great to actually see Pierce do something.  Is he still listed as starting, as he was for CU?  I didn't even see him on the field until the end of the game.  Him being a juco, will let me cut him some slack...but a little progress as the season ends would be a much needed bonus.
LaMark, I think will continue to make strides.

At a similar point in the '97 season, it looked like Gavin Peries was a better WR than Darnell McDonald.

You guys are so discounting the cataclysmic impact Jeremy Mack will have next season.

QFT.  His neck alone should catch 20 balls next year.

Can you imagine how good we would be with one or 'gasp' two good receiving TEs?  I am sick and tired of having to throw the ball to Pooschke and Mastrud.  No offense to those guys who have played probably up to the peak of their potential (slow).

I will repeat what I've said, Mastrud is pulling his weight and then some.  His "explosiveness" as a receiver as measured by actual yardage gained is as good or better than Deon right now.

I understand we aren't talking about YAC, the playcalling and the million other mitigating factors, but "slow" Mastrud has a 60+ yard reception on the books and is putting up pretty much the same numbers per catch as Murphy.  Take that for what it is, but "it" is so.

Good point.  Mastrud for whatever gets pretty maligned, but he is a solid TE, especially for a true SO.  I just wish we had Norwood opposite of him.  Pooscke and Alstatt aren't bad players IMO, but they seem to be used more to block than as recievers.  I'm sore of surprised by Alstatt b/c he was a good athlete in HS and placed at state in the hurdles and high jump.

Kind of like your posts considering your intellectual "gifts" (or lack thereof).

What I would like to see one time is for Freeman to just air one out......ala Bishop.......for a long touchdown pass.  I wonder how far he could throw it?

He really isn't that quarterback.  I think his arm strength is above average but not super human.  I suspect we would not be impressed if he unloaded a bomb if we compared it to other feats of athleticism that we've seen out of other quarterbacks.  Compared to me, every step Freeman takes is impressive.

Bishop could've thrown it 73 yards from his knees.

I'm starting to see why Ernie's offers besides KSU are San Diego State and Troy.

FWIW, 5 star Kenny O'Neal has one catch for 10 yards.

Is Bassett our only "future" at tight end?

Well Ced. Wilson and Mastrud really backed me up Saturday.

However:

12    176    3    46    The White Jesus
6    51    0    11    Murphy
4    67    0    29 Mastrud (1 fumble)
