Rusty what job allows you to "work" in this manner?

Engineering.  I just happen to be the best at what I do in the company (pretty much just 3d modeling), and continually exceed expectations.

That's the key to surfing the net at work -- get a decent/well paying job you can easily exceed expectations at

you know the old saying....

find a job you love, and you never have to work a day in your life.

i can attest that this is complete bullshďt.  i love what i do, am incredibly poor, and it really sucks.

it means that its not work since you love what you do.

has nothing to do with being poor. and it attests to you since you said you love what you do.

How do you know you're not fooling yourself about what it is you love to do?

more accurately, it's not work because no one pays me.

If you were doing what you truly loved to do, being poor wouldn't bother you.  You must be fooling yourself.

why wouldn't it bother me?  there is more to life than doing what i do.  money would make that part nicer.

No, it's different.  You'd be happy if you moved to Boulder, Colorado, though.

No, it's different.

you're prob. right.  it is, at the very least, an underlying theme to a good 50% of my posts though.
