I can see how it would seem ridiculous to spend $25 on a DVD of something you enjoy to watch when you only make 5.75 an hour. On the bright side, I thought I heard Minimum wage was going up next year, so maybe some day you can buy such extravagant things.
As for them being made; It's really simple. KSU fans want them; they're made. University makes $$ on it. If your athletic dept had fans that cared about them, then they wouldn't have to got to extremes to find extra income... say like charging infants to get into the game.
How is winning a regular season game, against a team that dropped 3 spots in the polls w/o losing, DVD material? ku fans didn't expect to have our victory over Florida last year put on DVD. The only time a DVD should be made, is when a team won a national title. Not after a friggin' regular season game.
Defending the production of this DVD is more pathetic than ku fans tearing down goalposts after winning a game.

Not because the athletic dept thinks it's a great accomplishment. People will buy it; so it is made. How is that so hard to understand? Here's why I suspect you don't: ku fans don't care about their athletic program, and don't see the purpose in supporting their school AND being able to enjoy something about their university for years to come. Hell, I've got games that we lost taped, that I'll occassionally pop in the VCR when I am in the mood to watch football. Do you own any movies on DVD or VHS? Do you purchase them because the very making of them was some great accomplishment for the production company/director/actor/actress? Or do you want to watch them in the future because you enjoy it? See where I'm going with this.
