I know for a fact of a ku fan walking into Rusty's after we upset ku in BB in Lawrence a couple years ago and getting a 32 oz beer thrown right in his face.  I was on the phone with a buddy of mine who was standing right there when it happened. Wearing ku gear in Aggieville or sitting in the student section is just asking for trouble.

I have no problem sporting my purple on the road but that's becuase I'm a big bad motherfracker.

big group of ku fans from KC are going to be at the Aggie Lounge early Saturday morning and watching the game in Aggieville.  Busload of them.

I don't think a busload of people will fit in the Lou.  That's funny.

Problem with going to Laurence is that you get hit on by more Johns than Janes.  So, if you're into that...

It's different as a K-State fan.  I've never felt like a minority at a road game.  Purple is everywhere.

If he's quiet he should be fine. If he runs his mouth....he gets what he deserves...

If he runs his mouth after they lose.....he's a tard.

But if HE can handle excessive ribbing, by all means go for it.  I wouldn't.  :(

It my brothers friend not me, I don't want to be confused with a gay.
So, somehow, because you logged onto a message board, and read a quote that another guy wrote about Wefald, Wefald is "in your face?"  I'll go along with that.  I wish Hemmingway would get off my nuts.

The amount of homophobia on this thread makes me wonder about some of you.

last time the hawks played in manhappenin, a bunch of people in the front of pat's were doing the k-s-u wildcats cheer when this guy got on the bar and started trying to do a rock chalk. i don't know what happened to my hand, but it instantly grabbed a big chunk of ice out of my bourbon and 7 and hit him square in the cheek, after which he promptly got down. sometimes that hand has a mind of it's own.    :twobirds:

if i was a ku fan, the lou would be the last place i would go to watch a game.  :ohno:

I saw this from John Brown on the LJWorld's kusports site. No wonder the loser is so bitter. Certainly none of those memories stack up to watching your team hang up 50 and 60 point losses on an in-state opponent.

1-At the end of the 1989 game, KSU Wildcatser grabbed me by the arm and stated, "You may beat us here, but you won't beat us there" as he pointed to AFHW. Freaking hayseed.

2-1982? Band Day. The Topeka High band was on one side of the Topeka Seaman band. The Junction City band was on the other. Topeka High chanted "What do you get when you beat your meat." The Junction City band would respond "Seamen, Seamen".

3-1993 game just afore half. Dan Eichloff lined up for a 70 yard field goal. All the KSU Wildcatsers were hootin and hollerin about Mason's stupidity. Then Eichloff layed into and missed by about 5 yards w/ a knuckleball. Heck of an effort. Great memory 'cause of the hayseeds holding their breaths till the ball hit the ground.

4-1994?. ku slaughtered UAB 75 to zero. We got in a car and drove to Mancrappy listening to the CU Buffalos Hail Mary win at Michigan. Then bought some scalped tickets on the 50 yard line on the west side of KSU stadium and watched the Pig Farmers play Minnesota. Great day.

5-1995 I attended the Suflower Showdown w/ my great uncle for the last time. The man graduated from ku in the late 1920s. He took me to a ton of games early on. Great ku football fan. That was the last ku game I attended w/ him as he died a few months later. Pastor mentioned his love for ku Football at the cemetery. Just the way I want to go.

Pretty sh*tty of him to make this one #5.

why would you go out in aggieville if Lawrence is only 45 minutes away?

Do what most the cool people in manhattan do and drive to lawrence to party.  The women actually have teeth and didn't buy their entire wardrobe from wal-mart. :ku:

My dad is a ku alum, somewhat a ku fan still....but anyways......he used to tell me that when he was at ku he and his friends would always end up driving to Aggieville on the weekends for the bars.  And he ended up with a KSU girl.......... :)
