This kid filibustered at the mic for 6 minutes before the cops moved in for an arrest. "Don't tase me, bro, I didn't do anything . . . OW! OW! OW! OW! LET ME GO! OW! LET ME GO! OH MY GOD! OW!" I thought tasers knocked you out, but he managed to holler through the whole thing.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

hmmm, when he starts acting like he's been tasered the cops still have ahold of him, which would get their asses shocked as well I would think, so it doesn't appear to me he was.

Not much to argue there. The perception is the left is "free" and open-minded while the right is "restricted" and "close-minded"

Not really debatable.

Don't want to defend the right here, but, that kid didn't look very "free"

The kid seems to be a left-winger himself -- he asked Kerry why he didn't support impeachment hearings for Bush and why he didn't sue after the election was unfairly stolen by Bush.

Not sure why you are assuming the campus police are left-wing, but whatever. The kid's screaming is amusing to the entire political spectrum!

One is always free to agree with a leftist but the slightest disagreement typically elicits a quick response from the local Gestapo and a stint in the gulag.   :ohno:

So the left-wing uses a right-wing gestapo to enforce its policies. Interesting. You'd think those fascists might hesitate before helping their enemies, given the gestapo's hardcore right-wing political stance.

I don't believe that's right.  The Taser is shooting a current from one prong to the other ^~~~~^   Not from the taser to the ground, which is what would be required to force a current from one person to another person.   Kind of like sticking your tongue on a 9v battery, the current is going through your tongue only.

Good thing they didn't have one of these suckers:

Taser shotgun load.

or one of these:

Taser cannon.

I smell a (likely unsuccessful, but maybe settlement-inducing) Section 1983 suit coming.

Don't do drugs, kids.

I'm not ashamed to have liberal political views, but very few liberals not on LSD want to have anything to do with this kind of ridiculousness.  The taser was a bit over the top, but seriously...how long are you gonna make John Kerry sit on the stage while the guy resists arrest?  Masking tape and tranquilizer darts would've been better, I think.

Does anybody remember the wacko young dude who went totally nuts on the 9/11 commission chair Lee Hamilton after his K-State Landon lecture in '05, claiming that the committee had no interest in finding fault with Bush's reaction and that he believed that the US government conspired to destroy the twin towers for political reasons?  I was embarrassed for everyone there...not because he asked somewhat ridiculous questions - or made somewhat ridiculous claims, I should say - but because he wouldn't sit down, shut up, and stop monopolizing the discourse.

Anyway, next time you drop acid and feel politically charged, don't go to a significant political speech.  Jeebus.

You guys need to do less assuming. From everything I've read, this kid basically busted into the lecture with the cops following him and went to the head of the line to ask questions. So it's not like the questions were what caused the cops to come after him, the kid was running from the cops to begin with.

/Continue irrelevant political talk.

Notice how the video only starts right before the cops grab him.  From the reports I've heard he butted into line and asked a whole litany of question which came out as more like a speech than actual questions.  And when the police try to lead you away, don't fight back or you're going to get some force used on you.  They repeated told him to stop resisting so they were forced to use a little more extreme measures.  Of course after he got tazed he still continued acting like a tard.  Sounded like a lot of showboating to me.  There's audio from outside the meeting hall, too.  Dude just doesn't know when to shut up.

I don't feel bad for him at all.  The one I feel bad for was Kerry.  That had to have been an embarrassing and awkward situation.

Bad facts on tasering there sir.

If your view were true what would be the purpose of a woman carrying a taser for protection?  When her attacker grabs her she's basically just going to tase herself.  Not a very smart concept.

i guess i'm missing the part of this video and ensuing discussion that's supposed to make me feel all warm inside - since when did it become a crime to ask a political figure of any level a confrontational series of questions without being arrested?  yeah, you can ask questions - they just have to be screened by the SS beforehand.  that's the reason the cops were already following him in -  because he refused to tell them what he was going to ask kerry.

oh, and kerry is a huge douchebag for proceeding to answer the questions the kid asked while the kid is being subdued and tasered.

Kerry's droning voice was having a calming effect on the rest of the audience. If not for the maniacal kid's screams of sincere pain, the whole hall would've been in a deep sleep.

Where has anyone said that questions are screened?  What you can't do is barge into a forum, butt to the front of the line, and rather than asking 1 question, belligerently ask several questions in what essentially became a statement rather than a question.  The video didn't show all that.  It conveniently only showed the "fascist pigs" taking him down for asking a question.  From reports I've heard, he calmed down immediately when he knew cameras were no longer on him.  This was an tard and an attention whore seeking his day on Youtube and nothing else.

so which part of that is illegalpublic forum - check.  he has a right to be there.  making a speech/asking questions - don't have mics there if you don't want audience participation.  cutting in line is rude, but NOT an arrestable offense.  so what did he get arrested for?

He wasn't arrested because he was being douche, they were just trying to make him leave. As they were escorting him out he completely freaked out like a little bitch and he got tazed for it.
