Kanye is better imo, I love his stuff but I hate him as an individual. He turns everything into a racist issue.
In response to not winning anything at the VMA'S "Damn man, can a black man catch a break man. I got the #1 album in the country." lol, he said this before his album had even hit stores.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Kanye can write lyrics, fifty can write dance tunes.

Dance tunes > Lyrics :dancin: :blahblah:

Every CD that 50 has come out with has gone platinum. And atleast had five hits on it.

I'm going with "Curtis."

going platinum doesn't necessarily mean that it's good music - it just means that a million people are stupid as &@#% (props to immortal technique).  honestly, the golden era of rap is over.  the shock effect has worn off with caucasian america.  A&R's need to get a new gameplan and stop signing "artists" who just make singles about their new dance and signed artists need to actually show some musical progression.  why do you think DMX is no longer relevant?

in conclusion...   lyrics > dance hits

the last true rappers from the golden age were Rakim and gangg star. I suggest you all go to BB and buy their albums.

    The very best.
so I'm watching the joe tiller show, and they are recapping a game from 1998. This is awesome, tiller and the p by p guy are just reliving their own mini version of "DOD"

tiller - "Damn. I miss Drew Brees"

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

this isn't timbaland we are talking about, kanye goes through all the proper channels to get the samples he uses.  besides, sampling is one of the cornerstones of hip-hop.  what would DJ Premier or J Dilla be without sampling?

who does actually have original beats in mainstream hip hop? most of it is recycled crap. that's why i respect someone who writes their own rhymes, because almost all artists rip off beats now and then.

There are a lot of better producers out there.  When I mean "original", I mean he'll sometimes just loop samples over and over, and people go crazy saying he's so great.

"Hip-hop" is so gay.  You hear some rappers rap about "things that matter" and still not get any respect for it.  I could give a damn about what they rap about.

[Chorus:]
(She steal me money)
Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger (When I'm in need)
But she ain't messin' wit no broke african americans (She steal me money)
Now I ain't sayin' she a gold digger (When I'm in need)
But she ain't messin' wit no broke african americans(I gotta leave)
Get down girl, go 'head get down (I gotta leave)
Get down girl, go 'head get down (I gotta leave)
Get down girl, go 'head get down (I gotta leave)
Get down girl, go 'head

[Verse 1:]
[Jamie Foxx's lyrics repeated across verse]
Cutie the bomb
Met her at a beauty salon
With a baby Louis Vuitton
Under her under arm
She said I can tell you rock
I can tell by ya charm
Far as girls you got a flock
I can tell by ya charm and ya arm
but I'm lookin' for the one
have you seen her?
My psychic told me she'll have a ass like Serena
Trina, Jennifer Lopez, four kids
An' I gotta take all they bad ass to show-biz
Okay get ya kids but then they got they friends
I pulled up in the Benz, they all got up in
We all went to din and then I had to pay
If you &@#%in' with this girl then you betta' be paid
You know why
Take too much to touch her
From what I heard she got a baby by Busta
My best friend say she used to &@#% with Usher
I don't care what none of y'all say I still love her
