    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

McKinney somehow starting....amazing.

And what has Pierce done to deserve a start?  There's a competition between him and Patterson as to which one looks more lost on the field...it's dead even right now.

because gameday tells us everything about the preparation made by players during the week.

Maybe, just maybe the coaches have a bit more information from which to make the decision.  I don't know but maybe players have drills, tests(defensive formations, plays, offensive formations, etc, etc)....sometimes hmmmm.

thanks zacker.

You're right, I'm sure the coaches completely disregard the way a player plays on gameday.  Actually, there's probably some truth to that because there's really no reason for McKinney to be starting, given the consistency of his negative plays.  Have you watched Pierce and Patterson at all?  Please tell me that you don't think that they probably practice as lost as they look on the field.

I think you should coach the wildcats.  Coffman to Gonzo would be a deadly combo down in Austin.

LOL at stressing on a few plays...Pierce was probably about ready this past weekend and simply didn't get as many reps.  Prolly figured another week and he might be ready for a lot more snaps.  But then again you are w/ the team on a daily basis so you should just type up a depth chart and email it to them.

Yeah, I'm calling for Coffman, jackass.  I actually don't mind Pierce being in for gonzo, because he desparetly needs the reps.  Same for Patterson.  I don't doubt their ability, but both need to get more reps if they are going to help us out because right now, they look lost (as most JUCO kids do early).  All I'm saying is that based on their performances (especially McKinney) they really haven't earned it on the game field.

It took about 1 game last year to figure out that Gonzales is a ST player and that we need to upgrade that WR spot.

I don't know if Pierce is ready, but I do know it is time to find out.

If Pierce doesn't look ready, but Wilson in that spot.

And in the mean time keep Lamark in front of the Jugs for about 300 receptions a day in practice.

and herein lies the dilema for Zacker...wants Pierce on the field and he "needs" reps yet has not earned it so should not be out there.

Ummm...gotcha.

McKinney has "earned" sitting on the bench for a while, although with the way our DB's are dropping, maybe that isn't an option.  Pierce and Patterson certainly haven't "earned" time based on their game play, but I understand they'll look lost until they get some more PT.  Really, my original comment was just a shot at how lost Pierce and Patterson look out there.  Missouri State should be a good opportunity for more PT for them.

I think Cheatam is hurt and Baldwin is too.  Moore can't play so Mckinney has to start by default.  Amazing how you can go from 5 deep at corner to 2 in a couple of weeks.  Garvin looked really good vs. SJSU he's good in man coverage does a good job of finding the ball.   Hopefully Cheatam and Baldwin are healthy by the Texas game.  No reason to rush anyone back for Missouri State.  Probably see a lot of Otis Johnson in that game which will be good for him to get some experience.

QFT on Wilson ahead of Gonzo.  I figured it would be Jordy, Wilson and whomever was the best newcomer to start the year.  Pretty suprising to see Gonzo start 2 games.
