Boy, all that talk about how great you must be to play a decent game against Auburn sure looks retarded now.

Auburn is terrible...and South Florida had the cajones you pretenders lacked, and were able to seal the deal against Auburn. Your team built on the best two-star recruits that Prince could convince to come and spend four years in a the color of royalty themed trailer park couldn't.

Now that's funny.

Yet another retarded move by the moderators....constantly auto-editing my posts...if purple is truly the color of royalty, no way should your group of losers be wearing it...it's gay purple....and auto-edit that, I don't care....there are many synonyms for gay, most of them inspired by your new towel-wearing video...

You're weird.

No, weird is locking my account so I can't edit my posts....it's changing my avatar and signature, it's auto-editing my posts so that certain things I type are automatically changed, weird is the lame and testicle-less moderators on this board that are too pathetic to be able to respond to my posts and defend their team, and thus act like a bunch of chodes.

That's weird.

Yep.

Didn't you lose to Auburn three games ago too?

Thought so.

Cue the excuses.

No, just lame and pathetic....but to be expected from the chodes that run this place.

If you were anything other than a third-rated afterthought of a college football program, maybe you'd be able to defend your team and wouldn't have to resort to that crap.

    warm up the EMAW
Remember last year when K-State fans tried to diminish ku's win and the Big 12's best OOC win vs. South Florida?

That was awesome.

Come back when you guys hoist your way up past 4 conference wins.

This says nothing about K-State's team this year.  Jim Leavitt is a superstar.  We knew this.  He will be in an MNC game in the next 5 years.  I wish he would be wearing purple when he does it, but I will salute him anyway.

What he has done at S. Florida is beginning to make Bill Snyder's accomplishments look ordinary.

I will say this:

He has done this in Florida when Miami and Florida St. were on a slight down swing.  Florida has more than enough talent to service his needs.  Bill Snyder had to do it in Kansas.  What Leavitt has done is without question unbelievable, but he had certain structural advantages and also he was able to create an identity from scratch as opposed to reversing an identity inextricably linked with losing.

Easy there, tiger.  USF is the ninth largest university in the nation, and has a ton of money floating around.  And it's always going to be easier to recruit to Tampa than Manhattan.  While you might find the results reminiscent, don't diminish the mountains Snyder had to climb.

The fact is that Bill Snyder started with a program that was a member of a major football conference.  Leavitt started with nothing.  Absolutetly nothing.  The only thing close around here would be if Wichita State decided to play football again or maybe if Leavitt took over at Missouri State or Creighton.  Let that sink in a little.  He didn't just have to win, he had to fight just to get into the game.

Yeah, not exactly.  Cross out your random dinky MVC schools and replace them with a major metropolitan university in the middle of a recruiting hotbed.  With beaches.  And it's arguable that starting from scratch was preferable to inheriting the most burdensome tradition in Division I-A.

Kono may have a valid point.  Just imagine what it will be like when Phoenix University or DeVry start their football programs...or Central Florida.

UCF occupied USF's current role of "dangerously underrated program" a dozen years ago.  And then they kind of vanished.

USF is way beyond that point.  You haven't paid enough attention.  I don't blame you, it happened pretty fast.

Hi, I live out here.  There's no way to not pay attention to USF.  Anyway, the relative merits of Culpepper's Knights and these Bulls are immaterial.  I was drawing similarities between the two programs as out-of-nowhere up-and-comers who enjoy monstrous enrollments and favorable geography.  When these teams decided to venture into 1-A football, it wasn't exactly considered the impossible dream that existed in the Little Apple.  There was talent, there was optimism, there was a plan.  Even if Leavitt does wind up winning the Big East in the next few years, Snyder's feats will remain unique because of the economic, historic, and geographic factors.

I would have to guess there is more football talent in the metro Tampa area than in all of KS, NE, MO, CO, and OK combined. Leavitt has done an incredible job, but he has a lot to work with including a pro stadium, a large school, and a big city. Hard to compare what Snyder did to what Leavitt has done.

lol at you thinking he was even listed as a choice, seeing as how he was employed for the first few weeks of our coaching search.

At least you admit he wasn't the first, second, third, or fourth choice.

There is hope for you.
