Thoughts on the trip:

If I never hear "war eagle" again, it will be too soon.  I guess I just don't get it.  I'd be walking past a group of fans, mostly students, and they would ether scream it right at you or just turn their head as they noticed you and speak "war eagle" out of the corner of their mouth.  I didn't know if that was special code words for "you suck", "f you", or "go f yourself".  Does it mean good luck?  In fact, I really didn't know how to respond, so mostly I just smiled and walked on past.  But, after about the 3rd drunk guy/girl shoves their miller light in your face and screams war eagle, it gets old.  I exercised my better judgment and refrained from retorting with "roll tide".  All in all, their fans were very nice, if they weren't drunk.  And, then after all the war eagle talk, the damn bird didn't fly because it was raining.

The crowd was loud, but no louder than what you will find at texas, Nebraska, etc.  It was very loud when they scored on the fumble....probably the loudest crowd I have been a part of...but other than that it was no different than any large big 12 crowd.

I was very surprised with the way our O moved the ball.  I am somewhat concerned with the fact that our only TD was on a trick play.  We couldn't run, but I didn't think we would be able to anyway.  I was surprised to see that we had 16 penalties against us....it just didn't seem like that many to me.  I don't think any of the questionable calls affected the outcome.  I was also surprised to learn of Josh's injury.  Was it when he slid??  Is it his knee??  He looked OK to me, but I was 40 rows up.

Defense looked good/great except for the last 4 minutes.  It was a typical Auburn game....they look like hell for 90% of the game, but somehow in the end, they find a way to win.

I still don't know what to make of this team.  I'm still praying that we can get 6 wins.  Auburn's offense is not very good...we will face much better WRs.  Our offense did enough to get us in a position to win, and this should be one of the better defenses we face.  I'm looking for better rushing yards next week.  Freeman still makes bad decisions...should have been picked 2-3 times.  I see San Jose St got their asses kicked, so they will probably be pissed coming into Manhattan.  I hope to see a score around 30-17 in that game.

And hey, at least we didn't lose to Appalachian St.

Yeah, you do know that AU held LSU to 3 points, and Florida to 17 in 2006?

KSU scoring 13 points (all offensive) sounds about right. I'm pissed Jordy didn't get in from the 2.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I know on paper Josh seems terrible.

2 interceptions, one fumble, and his lead reciever has more touchdown throws than he does.  But I really think he played he 2nd best game right after the Texas game, against a great defense.  And he did pretty good against OSU and Cu last year.

I still want my cooler, bitches!
