    The "other" KSU
If the season were to end today... the White Sox would be bringing up the rear! I am thrilled to see Buddy Bell out as manager. Of course the Royals will more-than-likely tank it and wind up last, but now - I am wallowing in the glory that is Royals baseball... what little there is.

Don't bet on it.  The sux are masters of the 5+ game losing streak this year.   They have 5 since June 27, including an 8-gamer.  Since June 1, the Royals have had only one that even stretched to a 4 gamer.

The Royals have been playing better ball than the sux 3 months now.  I fully expect to have a 5 game lead on them by the end of the year.

June 1-present, KC is 38-37 (over .500!). In that same time, the sux are 32-49.  The Royals have clearly been the better overall team.

KC is 22nd in runs scored and 18th in runs allowed. Not good, right?  Better than the sux who are next to last--in both categories.

No, the Royals will not fall back.
