You can't be racist and like basketball.
Or will having his shrewdness employed full time on defense make up for the potential step back in special teams?

Discuss.

I've thought the same thing. I for one think he'll end up being a good one as a DC, but I worry too that the ST's will suffer.

One thing I noticed during the open practices is other than Franklin, who was having a QB groupie on the other end of the field. EVERY coach was involved in the special teams drills.

One thing I forgot to mention was that Tibs was EXCLUSIVELY ST coordinator.  LB/STC/RCMW does not have that luxury.

Could this also be a factor?

VERY interesting.  And encouraging.

We can win with crappy defense (see last year's model) but we can't win without good special teams (see last year's model).  The impact to a hit in our special teams would be felt much deeper within the team.  But to answer your question, as ol' stormy said above, Prince stresses special teams in just about every interview I hear him do.  I think we're going to continue where we left off last year and have excellent special teams.  Tibs will then be exposed to the Wildcat nation as the fraud that he is and be run out of town back to North Jersey or wherever he came from.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

From all indications, we don't have a kicker who can kick a field goal.  IIRC, we also will either have a RS-FR or FR as a long snapper.  I think our return game will be fine, but our field goal kicking and punting (the snap anyways) will be suspect, no matter who the coach is.
