Here is another tidbit. I was listening to some uneducated local media people the other day who were dissing the 2005 recruiting class. If you recall, that was the one that had all of the 4* and 5* guys...some of whom are no longer here or haven't met expectations. OK, lets do an evaluation. 32 guys signed LOI:Of those who signed, which ones washed out, never played, quit or left: Beck, Franklin, Hunter, Jackson, Moore, Pasteur, Rodney Picou, Rands, Roark, Spain, Tomerlin, Souder (Approx 36% of the class. But remember, Harrison Beck for all his problems, got it done vs. KSU in 2005)Of those who signed and are still in the program yet to fully develop: Brooks, Covey, Harvey, Dillard, Jordan Picou, Zach Potter, Bryan Wilson. (That's 21% of the class--and three of them are slated to start or be significant this year Potter, Dillard and Wilson)Of those who signed, which have already earned starting roles and had a profound impact on the program for the last two years: Bowman, Congdon, Cryer, Dagundaro, Glenn, Hardy, Hickman (started the Cotton Bowl), Lucky, Octavien, Slauson, Suh, Taylor (Conf. Offensive POY) and Barry Turner (That's 40% of the class--pretty good). That means over 60% of the class is classified as either impactful or still in the program.Moral of the story: Don't pay attention to EVERYTHING you read and hear relating to Nebraska football. That includes this space!GBRRosie
Rosie is the "voice of Nubber football". In all honesty, he's a great play-by-play guy--would gladly give NU five Wyatt's in exchange for this guy.
Even NU fans had hate Jim Rose fwiw
