"Again...quickness, toughness, and technique trumps bulk every day."
no it doesn't. do all gay people talk in useless metaphors or just you? Speed isn't going to help a center block a nose tackle. Speed is great if your a d-lineman and you need to get around a bigger, more powerful o-lineman but it doesn't work like that the other way around. the center is not trying to get away from the nose, the center is trying to get in the way of the nose and slow him down. to do that you don't need speed, you need power. And Suh weighs about 310, that isn't 25 pounds heavier, it's 35 and as you can tell, it's a really good 35 pounds.
and by the way, kalil played at 285 and was 6'3 which is a pretty good height to weight ratio. your boy viers is 6'5 according to your website and 270. very big differance. Also, very little experience on the o-line, started off at d-end. Why your trying to compare him to a shorter, heavier better center is beyond me. anything else to add hatter or did you get tore up enough?
OK, I'll only try once to explain this to you because I know you likely won't get it. Speed is useful if the O lineman has to pull or get out into the linebacker to block...quickness is what enables the O lineman to get to the proper side of the D player to block his where he wants, and to get leverage...which is huge in blocking and moving someone. Technique is what the player uses to get off the ball low and enables the O lineman to turn the player once he gets in the proper position.
Oh, and yes, you should probably take two D linemen and double team our O linemen. That'll keep our O-linemen from making the play. Low FBIQ alert!
