    Hey, basketball!!!
Alright I'm writing this and really pissed off, so just a little FYI.

I went last night and bought a used xbox 360 from EB games. Many on here said that it's the best deal, so I went with it. So I brought it home and got it ready to play (buying a $10 used game, NBA Live '06) and the wired controller that they gave me didn't even fit in the controller outlet on the xbox. Their was a circular plug-in on the end of the controller and a different type of plug-in on the outlet of the xbox. I wanted a wireless anyway so I just didn't mind it and was going to buy the wireless today.

Went to Game Stop an hour ago and bought the $50 wireless controller. Brought it home and read the instructions (already knew what to do because I'm pretty good with electronics) and tried to connect the wireless to the xbox.

IT WOULDN'T CONNECT, kept trying it over and over.....no connection. The X-Box 360 works perfectly it's just I cant get a controller to work with it (that's a big deal )

Did this happen to anyone else?? Stunna.......I know you bought a used one from EB. ewx24, you seem to be an xbox 360 genius, what's happening?

What should I do with it? Am I doing something wrong, does this happen to anyone else? I really doubt it because an X-Box 360 needs a controller.  :curse:   :frown:

FIXED!!!  :)

did you-
a) put batteries in the controller
b) turn the controller on

Yep. The circle around the x on the controller is blinking and trying to look for the connection, cant find it. Also pushed the connection button on both the xbox 360 & controller.  :crybaby:

Ok, the deal with the wired controller is it is missing the end piece. The way they're made is to pull away if you trip over them. it's missing the piece the it pulls away from. They should give you one.

As for the wired, turn the 360 off. make sure the controller is off. Now, hold down the middle 360 button on the controller. It connects and turns the console on. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure. Try getting a new console.

#1. That makes sense ew & the guy at EB said that when I called.

#2. I just tried what you said and it didn't work. Guess I'll just need a new console.

thanks ew.

No problem. Hope it works out.

PS. 360 Price drop was just announced. Not much, but it helps.

It will be interesting to see if EB Games takes it back.  Good luck!

Alright, so I went in and found out the whole problem was EB not giving me the little accesory that plugged the wired controller into the X-Box 360. Than the  other problem was just the wireless controller that I had wasn't working correctly. They gave me another wireless and I'm good to go. I love it. The graphics are HD and you can see every little detail in the game. Amazing.......definately give it a 10. Never played a game like this, and ew2x4 & everyone else who said EB had the deal for the $250 360 was correct, it's a great deal.

I'm loving it.

Thanks guys for the help also.

Going to get Madden when it comes out next week. Just bought a used game NBA live '06 (sports game under $10, not a very big NBA fan) but still amazing play style and graphics.

Hooking it up online in the next couple of days also.

Problem with NCAA football is I got it on my old system, PS2. Big mistake not to wait, heard it's an entirely different game on 360.

Gears of War I've heard that's good from others too, I'll try it. Love guitar hero, I'll probably get that in the next month or so also.

If you like shooters, Gears of War is a must. Online Coop is great. Prey is solid as well. Don't laugh, but Lego Starwars II is amazing.

Also, once you get online, you can download demos for nearly every game (for free).

That was another selling point for me buying the 360.

I hear Gears of War is so good its worth buying the console just for that one game.  I think I'm going with the PS3 for the Blue Ray player.

Just ran into this link for the XBox 360 V.2
