Is that Brian Murph?

Yeah, he's big....and has bad hands.

He's done donkey dick in this league and it's not looking like his "awarness" or "catch" ratings are going to go up anytime soon.

Next.

Brian Murph is no longer with us.  They don't let people play after their eligibilty is up.  That's Herford, and yes, he has no hands.  Cost us the Baylor game.  Hell of a kick returner though.

I stand corrected.......Herford. I'd lost track of all the ku recievers that had done jack squat.*

In their defense, they've never had a QB who could get them the ball.

Hey coach, have you lost some weight?... I think it was this comment that led to Sharp running with the first team.

You expect ku, a nonbowl team despite having an extra game added to the schedule and a creampuff noncon, who has won two road games under their coaches entire tenure and NEVER gone even .500 in the conference,  to come to Manhattan(a place ku hasn't scored an offensive touchdown since you were in grade school) and win?

Mmkay.

Scholarship players, in bold are the guys who are projected to start or compete in the 2 deep.  KSU has official measurements, while ku does not, so who knows if they are accurate.

KSU WR:
LaMark Brown 6'3'' 229
Toney Coleman 6'1'' 210
Daniel Gonzalez 6'3'' 219
Danny Hogan 6'2'' 190
Deon Murphy 5'10'' 190
Jordy Nelson 6'3'' 217
Ernie Pierce 6'4'' 209
Tony Purvis 5'11'' 169
Cedric Wilson 6'1'' 181

ku WR:
Dezmon Briscoe 6'3'' 200
Raymond Brown 6'2'' 205
Dexton Fields 5'11'' 205
Chris Harris 6'0'' 180
Marcus Henry 6'4'' 210
Marcus Herford 6'1'' 205
Tertavian Ingram 5'11'' 195
Rell Lewis 5'10'' 185
Ryan Murphy 5'10'' 171
Raimond Pendleton 5'11'' 190
Xavier Rambo 6'0'' 195
Johnathan Wilson 6'3'' 190

KSU has 5 guys 210 or bigger, ku has only 1, with 3 more scholarship players.  KSU also has 4 guys 6'3'' and up, while ku only has 1.  Starters/2 deep is also a lot bigger for KSU.

KSU LB:
Ian Campbell 6'5'' 249
Eric Childs 6'3'' 227

Ross Diehl 6'2'' 215
Greg Gaskins 6'0'' 215
John Houlik 5'11'' 217
Davyon McGee 5'10'' 225
Chris Patterson 6'2'' 206
Marcus Perry 6'2'' 233
Kevin Rohleder 6'1'' 212
Justin Roland 6'0'' 245
Mackenzie Rosel 6'1'' 215
Reggie Walker 6'1'' 231

ku LB
Drew Dudley 6'2'' 225
James Holt 6'3'' 220
Dakota Lewis 6'1'' 195
Jon Mortenson 6'1'' 235
Olaitan Oguntodo 6'0'' 220
Mike Rivera 6'3'' 255
Jake Schermer 6'2'' 220
Justin Springer 6'4'' 220
Arist Wright 6'0'' 220

It's hard to tell who is bigger...ku has bigger all around, but the impact guys goes, Rivera, Campbell, Roland, Mortenson, Walker, Childs, Holt, Oguntodo, Wright, Patterson.  So KSU has the bigger starters/2 deep linebackers.

Not bad for a bunch of midgets.

don't try comparing ku roster ht/wt w/ that of KSU's because ours is NFL style.

For example...Nick Reid = 6-4 on ku's roster..measured 6-2.5 for NFL...on Prince's roster Reid would be 6-2.

Rodney Allen was listed at 6-3 for ku...he would be 6-1 on prince's roster per his pro day measurement.

In other words...Eric Childs = 6-3 or 6-4 at ku.  Lamark?  6-4 or 6-5.

LOL at ku roster sizes...lol at trying to say ku receivers are bigger.  Subtract an inch or two and some weight from ku's roster up and down...then it will be legit.

No no...we're talking about ku's crapty WR's....who consistently perform poorly against pretty much every team they face (save for maybe SE Lousiana et al)......

Funny you mention last years KSU vs. ku game...ku WR? Again, a non-factor. It was Cornish and ku's blitz to gain 14 pts off of turnovers and that's it.

ku's returning WR's are much better than K-State's.  Jordy Nelson is the only WR that scored a TD for K-State last season.  ku will have the advantage at that position with Dexton Fields, Marcus Henry, Marcus Herford, Dezmon Briscoe, etc.  If you include Derek Fine at TE, along with Aqib Talib (who comes in at WR on occasion) it's not even close.

ku didn't need to throw the ball against K-State last season because your defensive line was pathetic (as was your offensive line).  K-State doesn't improve much in either aspect.

but...none of those wr's are worth a sh*t. jordy is twice the receiver of any of your wr's. and believe it or not, we got some pretty good talent in our 07 recruiting class. if you have a real crapty wr corps one year, and the next season comes around, they are still crapty.

I think what BMW is really saying is . . . in the face of all that greatness that was on the field last year for ku (and apparently will be there again this year) Mark Magino still can't manage to put together a winning season in a conference division that has become a shadow of its former self.

Again, for those that may not be aware and to emphasize how far the Big 12 North has plummeted in stature.  Mark Mangino over the course of 5 years, has won 1 more conference game than Terry Allen did during his 5 years at ku.   Terry Allen coached in TWICE as many games against ranked Big 12 opponents (the majority of which came from the Big 12 North) than Mark Mangino over the course of 5 seasons.
