no. i take lol as an onomatopoeia, based on the fact that i imagine it as a sound. it is an acronym, yes, or an abbreviation. but i have seen plenty of fatty's posts that start out with either LOL, ROFL, LMAO, OMG, or HAHAHAHAHA.

no need to be sorry. i just think that "lol" has become so common place and so widely used it has engendered an immediate depiction of laughter, or, more so, a distinct sound or actionable sound in most peoples minds. think about when you read "lol" do you read it as "l-o-l" or do you read it and imediately dictate it as a laugh or an image of a person laughing. i think that if a person wanted to they could put "lol" in an action bubble on a cartoon. just a thought.

seriously, maybe my premium dolla's can go to hiring a statistician. i want to know how many times kougs has gotten pwned, how many times catfan has reposted, or posted an entire article, i wanna know how many times rusty says the word kansas city. just useless stuff like that.
