define "sport"

There must be a ball involved and all four appendages are incorporated.  That's right... soccer's not a sport.

i guess throw in's don't count either. soccer is the best sport on earth, and the majority of the world agrees with me.
I don't mind soccer but I wouldn't go near saying it was the best sport on earth.

Football
Baseball
Basketball
Golf
Tennis
Lacrosse
Soccer
Hockey

Out of the above seven 'sports,'  I find that there is a major oddball out of the group, some refer to as GOLF.  Every other sport up there has some form of defense and direct interaction with the ball in play.  GOLF does not.  Golf should be listed right above NASCAR as a sport.
Whatever dude. I suppose swimming, cycling, running aren't sports either?

no--these fall into "competitions" category, not sports.

    started the auburn/ksu hillbillie war
and by fun to watch i mean this...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zP2ix_Xs2N0

You realize that wasn't all done at once right?  The various camera angles and positions would have made about ten cameras visible from each position.  LOL at the guy stopping his watch like he just made a good time or something.

lol at you not knowing what you are talking about. the dude made it up a 400ft tall 5.7 cliff in a little over 4 minutes. that is one climb, there is no way to fake it. there was some editing, like when he went for his dyno jump the first time he actually missed it, and slipped down to his take-off holds. it says that in the credits. you have got to be joking with that comment. that dude is a legend.

LOL at him getting to the top and stopping his watch.  I am going to go and make a video like this with me making it in 24 seconds and soak up all the rube praise.

EDIT:  Reminds me of this show my wife watches called "Laguna Beach".  She thinks t's real and I had to explain to her that is saddened me that she thought that.

thats pretty good stuff.

but seriously, that is dan osman and he was one of the worlds best climbers. he has done that climb several times, and that was a filming of him sprinting up it as fast as he could, thats why he clicked his watch. no special effects, no stuntmen, just a bad ass dude climbing bad ass rock. i don't know if you've ever seen a climbing video or a downhill mountain biking video, or anything like that, but they use multiple cameras and multiple angles. usually the route is planned out before hand, and they plant cameras where they need them. you can believe what you want to, but it isn't a fake.

You're retarded.  Curious, is wrestling a sport? Boxing? No ball involved in that.

Definition of sport:

"1.   an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc."

I love that you believe you get to declare what makes a sport and what does not.

At no point did I say that a 'ball' is required to be defined as a sport.  Try to read next time.  I said that LIST had an oddball, that odd ball was defense and interaction with a ball.

Boxing and wrestling, according to my definition is a sport.  First of all, boxing and wrestling have a 'defense' of sorts plus there is a direct interaction there, not indirect, like who pulls up the biggest fish (not a sport).

I did not say that my definition is the only definition of a sport.  Someone asked what a definition is for a sport.  I believe mine to fit my requirements for a sport.  :violin:

LOL at you questioning my reading comprehension, dr00d (lame). You just come across as a closed-minded idiot, really. I could probably think of several "competitions" that involve defense that I'm sure you would be hesitant in claiming were a sport. As you can tell, you're definition holds little bearing and quite frankly, is retarded. Go play your drums or something. :eyeseeyou:

Open your eyes, Kid.  People have a right to their own opinions, if you don't agree with it, move along.  If you'd like to have a grown up discussion, perhaps you can try sticking to the subject unlike the drums comment which is completely irrelevant.

I'm not exactly sure what your beef is with me, but it actually seems pretty 'close-minded' in my opinion, especially since you have seemed to create yours (opinion of me) in my last 15-20 posts on this board.  :ustupid:

The drums comment was just that you're always alluding to it in probably 50% of your posts and I find it annoying/humorous. You weren't giving your opinion like it was open to interpretation. You were basically saying it was definitive, kid.

Only kids/bitches need to argue (and get the last word in) to feel better about themselves.  This is probably the best description I have found for you.  A kid that needs to put his thoughts out there on every thread, every five seconds.  Not only to let everyone know what his opinions are, but to show how young and inexperienced you are (real world experience we are talking here).

Now on to the drum comment, as far as I know, I don't remember ever bringing up the drums on this board...doing a quick search for 'dr00d drums' comes up with two posts.  This one and the one where Kilgore brought it up (related to the foxhole).  Which is far less annoying than saying 'check out my amp and guitars, guys!  Here are links and everything to my exact guitars and amps!' -----http://www.ksufans.com/forums/index.php?topic=14191.msg175782#msg175782

http://www.ksufans.com/forums/index.php?action=search2 ---type in dr00d drums for yourself.

Seriously dude, you need to calm down and grow up.  Your knee-jerk reaction to every post is tiring and is old hat.

Take your ball and go home.

lol at the guitars comment. That was strictly for KatKid. Because I was asking him what he played on and was telling him that I need a new amp. Apologies that I find guitars interesting and wanted to discuss it with him. For all you know, we're messaging each other right now and furthering the conversation on buying and selling. FYI, I've seen your posts on the Wabash too. The drums thing comes out quite often. Also, hilarious that you think you know my age. You say I take things too seriously and you are here getting bent out of shape regarding a message board post. Your whole premise on why golf wasn't a sport was just extremely humorous to me. I've used this thread completely for entertainment. Thanks for that. Being serious on a message board. lol. The top posters on this board use the names Chico Rodriguez, Fatty, KSUNO1STUNNER and Pissclams. Clearly someone takes message board life too seriously (you).

Clearly, you're the one who cares to defend thier name on this board (ex. taking the board too seriously).  6k posts is something to be extremely proud of.  I don't go around defending all of my previous posts in all of my threads because I don't care, but apparently you do.

I also post like three times a month on Wabash, so it isn't there where I'm talking about drums either.  You need to get a clue.  (again, serious about what I say on this board)

My entertainment usually consists of watching you make an ass out of yourself on about an hourly basis.  Although that has nothing to do with the fact that you feel the need to be mr. 'internet toughguy' around here and that you wish everyone would stroke your ego. (another example of taking the board too seriously)

Are you sure that I'm(???) the one who takes this board too seriously?

I gave you way too much credit.  I couldn't give two craps about "my name" and of what someone named "dr00d" thinks of me, honestly.
